Role: Key Account Specialist
Location: Budapest, Hungary
Supports the Key Account Managers in the day-to-day management of key customers within the FMCG environment. Focuses on operational, analytical, and coordination activities to ensure effective execution of customer plans and smooth cooperation with internal and external stakeholders. Provides a strong foundation for developing key account management competencies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to the Key Account Managers (KAMs)
- Prepare presentations for internal reviews and customer meetings
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of promotional activities and customer initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of commercial agreements, price lists, and customer documentation
- Maintain accurate customer data, listings and promotional calendars
- Support product launches, relistings, and delistings in cooperation with internal teams and customers
- Act as an operational point of contact for customer-related queries
- Coordinate information flow between sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and customer service teams
Accountabilities
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of sales data, reports, and customer documentation
- Support effective execution of customer plans and promotional activities
- Contribute to smooth daily cooperation with key customers through operational excellence
- Identify performance gaps, risks, or inconsistencies and escalate them to the KAMs
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, commercial policies, and timelines
Development Path
- Gradual involvement in customer meetings, negotiations, and business planning processes
- Progressive increase in responsibility for selected customers, categories, or projects
- Opportunity to independently manage defined customer scopes or smaller accounts over time
- Development of key account management, negotiation, and commercial skills under KAM supervision
Required Skills and Experience
- University degree – economic profile preferable
- At least 2 years of successful experience in sales department (Sale Assistant/Sales Analyst/KAS) in FMCG company
- Fluent English (in speech and writing), fluent Hungarian (in speech and writing), speaking Polish as an asset
- Computer literate, especially MS Office.
