We are looking for an experienced Accountant or VAT Analyst to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Hawaiian Tropic, Carefree, Bulldog Skincare for Men and recently acquired Jack Black… just to name a few!).

 

Let's Get Down To Business

Reporting to the Europe VAT Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing VAT support and analyses for Edgewell Group entities in Europe (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, UK, Poland, Czech Republic, Belgium). There will be specific focus on analysing and reviewing VAT requirements and related calculations, adjustments and reconciliations of Edgewell entities based on given methodology from the VAT manager.

 

Supporting the teams on VAT compliance
Document VAT related processes & controls for Edgewell entities
Assist with testing, VAT/Intrastat reports determination for new business scenarios.
Contact local Tax/Intrastat authorities for tax ruling or information
VAT/Intrastat audits.
Prepare and analyse supportive documentation for VAT audits. Answer queries from tax authorities concerning VAT returns and Intrastat reports and submit required documentation in a timely manner


Internal VAT controls:

Reconcile VAT returns and Intrastat reports with the relevant general ledger accounts
Perform control checks in Edgewell entities of VAT returns, EC Sales List and Intrastat for compliance.
Perform control checks of SAF-T compliance for Edgewell entities.
Check GL entries with info presented on the invoice for important values – internal control/audit per selected documents
You will also perform tax/VAT review and tax/VAT classification of invoices
Contact with relevant functions (Customer Service, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance & Controllership) for VAT/Intrastat related queries or cases


Show Us What You've Got

Ideally you will have experience in accounting, VAT or Tax gained within a Consumer Goods/ Cosmetics/ Retail or distribution company. Polish and English language are essential and additional European languages would be an advantage. Professional experience is important. But it’s paramount you share our values and belief in ‘challenge to win’

 

In addition, it would be great if you have the following skills and experience:

 

  • Experience of accounting and specifically tax or VAT.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experienced with SAP
  • A good level of Polish & English language skills, both orally and written
  • Advantageous to have other foreign language skills (particularly German)
  • Organized, structured, logical and systematic work method
  • Willing to extend knowledge in tax field
  • Flexible and adaptive to change in accordance with business needs
