We are looking for a Demand Planner/ Supply Chain Planner to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Hawaiian Tropic and Bulldog Skincare for Men… just to name a few!).
Now, Let’s Get Down to Business
The Local Demand Planner is accountable to prepare and facilitate the key market & HUB demand reviews (for S&OP) meetings. Needs to ensure, that all key market functions understand and align with the total volume forecast and that the business director validates and signs it off.
The Local Demand Planner will remain focused on improving forecast accuracy and the correct horizon with the aim to maximize sales (minimize service issues) while balancing this with working capital targets. The Hub Demand Planner will focus heavily on execution in market or across hub with commercial teams and customers where appropriate to develop the best possible approach to planning and business delivery.
The Hub Demand Planner is responsible to suggest best Practice Development in market intelligence gathering tools; either within manugistics or more generally hub/market developed promotional tools with the end goal of getting to the most efficient approach for MIF gathering. The position also holds responsibility for building our utilization of customer data tools for understanding in store trends and impacts on our forecast with the end goal of more collaborative planning.
The Hub Demand Planner will be trained and responsible to be a back-up for other markets within their Hub to ensure operational robustness across the demand planning organization
Here’s a sample of what you’ll get up to:
• Support customer service by providing specific information (switches-major events such as NPD and important promotion) pro-actively, for CS to support delivery to customers.
• Follow up on market/hub SLOBs process.
• To support the SKU rationalization process at hub level.
• To support the defined best practices to control, challenge and upload distributor forecast.
• To collaborate with area COE team in analysis of forecasts and forecast error reports to improve forecast accuracy (net error and absolute error).
• Manage distributors in Spain, Greece and Turkey: gather updated forecast per month and track sales Vs fcst.
• Support CE distributors and other business within the Hub.
• Collaborate with area COE team on new product set up and forecast, a common understanding on cannibalization effects, promo analysis, code switches and product allocation in case of capacity constraints
• Collaborate with area COE team to continually review best practices of MANUGISTICS and other demand planning/ forecasting tools, processes and procedures.
• To build the pack for the market Demand Review (S&OP) in collaboration with the market business director and connect to Regional S&OP to understand impact of supply constraints.
• To support the Identification and investigation of root cause of forecast errors.
Are You Ready to Show Us What You’ve Got?
Ideally you will have some Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning and analytical experience gained within a Consumer Goods/ Cosmetics/ Retail Company. While your experience is of course important, we’re all about making useful things joyful, so we love when our prospective candidates are passionate about this too.
In addition, it would be great if you have the following skills and experience:
• Solid working knowledge of a Supply Chain (specific Demand Planning background) gained in FMCG environment.
• Fluency English (additional European or Polish language skills are nice to have)
• Ideally degree level educated
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Manistic and Power BI - desired
• Team player with strong improvement focus
• Ability to work within varied cultural teams.
• Collaborative minded and strong communicator.
