Position summary
This Supply planner position is responsible for optimizing Japan local inventory levels through supply chain related activities such as creating supply plan including co-packing, monitoring inbound supply/on-hand inventory, and production status at local vendors located in Japan.
This position must also achieve Days of Inventory objectives while meeting customer service On-Time, In-Full(OTIF) objectives within the assigned business units. The Supply planner executes supply chain strategies and processes within a wide scope of responsibility with various degrees of controls and provides guidance to counterparts under the oversight of the Supply Chain planning manager.
Accountability
Accountable for optimizing the inventory levels of assigned product segments and achieving inventory goals by balancing production / supply with demand forecast.
Manage multiple local vendors in Japan to create, monitor, and revise their production plans, in the both short and long term, based on demand forecast considering their production capacity and the company’s financial resources.- Calculate the required copacking quantity for JPN warehouse assembly work based on the latest demand plan, and collaborate with Warehouse copacking team to secure capacity and products. After issue workorder to warehouse, monitor progress and arrange for the necessary materials and products if required.
- Evaluate inventory reports to identify slow moving and obsolete inventories and collaborate with Commercial Team to develop appropriate action plans in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Sales and Marketing to ensure a smooth supply chain operation and take necessary corrective actions against possible inventory issues to achieve annual inventory target without sacrificing customer service level.
