Senior Specialist,Controllership

Position Summary

Working for Schick Japan Controllership team as a key member to handle Financial Closing, Internal control, Accounts payable and Expense claim, Intercompany transaction and Inventory accounting with supervising temporary staff with reporting to Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Financial Closing – Process all aspects of monthly close of financial records with preparing Journal entry, and reporting to Hyperion with providing financial statement to Controllership management and relevant stakeholder of Finance. Prepare balance reconciliation and ensure correctness of Accounting record.
• Internal Control – keep SOX control environment for relevant area of Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable. Support Accounting manager to oversee SOD. 
• Accounts Payable and Expense claim – Ensure correct and timely booking with overseeing temporary staff and external Shared Service Center in China. Book and control relevant accrual and prepaid expense.
• Intercompany Accounting – Ensure correct and timely booking with overseeing external Shared Service Center. Ensure inter company reconciliation at the month end.
• Inventory Accounting – Ensure correct valuation of Inventory and handle relevant accounting treatment
• Process improvement – Improve current procedure relating to Financial Accounting with SAP system by close communication with Accounting Manager, Finance team and Shared Service Center.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years work experience in Auditing or Financial Accounting in MNC
• Strong discipline and communication skills
• Detail oriented, proactive and able to work under pressure
• Experience of people management is not mandatory
• Will to manage people in future even if no experience of it
• Excellent skills in Excel.  Experience and Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion preferred.
• Fluent in Japanese and English
