Position Summary

A key manager managing Japan Controllership team with handling general accounting complying with USGAAP/JAGAAP and Tax Accounting, Internal control and providing control and compliance, corporate governance to the company, with reporting to F&C Director.

Universal Accountabilities

•Responsible for the management of Schick Japan’s controllership functions, which include General Accounting, Financial Reporting, Taxes, Insurance, Internal and External Audits, including hands on treatment.

•Maintain or transform financial control procedures and processes to ensure data integrity for external reporting and statutory reporting as well as full compliance with Corporate policies and SOX requirement

•Process all aspects of monthly close of financial records with overall coordination, approving journal entry by F&C team, preparing Journal entry, and reporting to Hyperion with providing financial statement to Controllership management and relevant stakeholders. Prepare balance reconciliation and ensure correctness of Accounting record, following US GAAP/JA GAAP and Tax regulations.

•Window and coordination of SOX compliance audit, Tax audit.

•Manage the implementation of projects and support of ad hoc analysis

•Manage and supervise Controllership team members embedding and enhancing purpose/vision/value of Edgewell/Schick Japan.

Skills & Experience

•Human skill for Leadership to manage a team and Stakeholder management skill/experience

•Degree holder or equivalent, with major in Accountancy or related disciplines

•Minimum 5 years work experience in Auditing or Financial Accounting in MNC

•Understanding and experience through Financial treatment, Closing to tax with managing team

•Strong discipline and communication skills

•Detail oriented, proactive and able to work under pressure

•Excellent skills in Excel. Experience and Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion preferred

•Fluent in Japanese and English

Key Stakeholders

·Reports to Japan F&C Director

·Key relationships include APAC Controller, Share service center, Corporate Accounting team

·Internal cross-functional teams: Finance, Supply Chain, Purchase, HR, Marketing, Sales, IT

Important Info

·Tools include Microsoft office applications, PowerBI.

·SAP and Hyperion is the key systems for closing and reporting
