The Senior Category Manager is responsible for supporting and driving an overarching vision to ‘win more decisions’ and ‘partner to win’ with customers. Being accountable to create powerful Category Strategies which deliver inspiring, winning shopper solutions through expertise, creativity and collaboration. Acting as a key influencer with the aim of improving Edgewell Personal Care competitive position within the retail environment.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Category Management professional to be responsible for:

  • Creating & implementing Category Strategies & customised Customer Category Strategies that drive long term value with key strategic retailers.
  • Ensuring Category Strategies are aligned with local Brand and Account plans & deliver overall business and brand targets.
  • Leading customer range reviews with customisation of the Category strategies.
  • Creating fact based engaging retailer presentations with clear rationale & numerical quantification of recommendations.
  • Ensuring best use of Category and retailer-specific data in support of optimum category rationale development.
  • Identifying and commercialising the latest category/instore trends through analysing and interpreting all available data points and turning into actionable insights to drive additional retail opportunities in line with this.
  • Developing excellent customer relationships and partnerships with retailers.
  • Leveraging Shopper and Category insights as appropriate to advise Sales & Marketing on key segments and business opportunities/ risks to drive growth.
  • Creating fully tailored planograms detailing proposed range review recommendations and in the long term look to work closely with customer space teams to build effective relationships to help influence planogram outcomes.
  • Conducting post promotional evaluation utilising sales and shopper data to develop optimal promotional recommendations and share insights with the wider Commercial team.


You will be part of a diverse global team and will work closely with the wider Sales & Consumer Insights teams. The role demands a great deal of stakeholder involvement and engagement at various levels, so is ideal for someone who enjoys communication and building long lasting relationships.


Ideally you will have significant Category Management or similar skills gained within a global FMCG business.


In this role, it is important you can work autonomously, flexibly and collaboratively with individuals and teams.  Professional experience is important, but it’s paramount you share our values and belief in “challenge to win”.  You should have strong ability to synthesise large amounts of data into compelling business presentations and plans, and be confident & comfortable in presenting category plans both internally and externally. Excellent command of spoken and written English is essential.
