Position Summary

Our team is growing! Edgewell has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant.  The position requires solid technical knowledge of U.S. Federal and International taxation. The role offers the opportunity to broaden your skillset in international tax compliance, Pillar 2 implementation, and the related quarterly tax provision.  The role includes collaboration with management inside and outside of the tax department and is a great opportunity for an analytically minded tax professional to contribute strongly to the development of strategic initiatives within the international space.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated with the personal drive, passion, and enthusiasm to both understand and successfully navigate the company in a rapidly evolving marketplace. 

 

This opportunity has a flexible hybrid model with 2 days at our Chesterfield, MO office and 3 days remote

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and review third party service provider’s preparation of the US International tax compliance forms and disclosures to ensure the timely and accurate filing of the returns.
  • Support Senior Tax Manager and third-party service provider with Pillar 2 compliance and reporting obligations.
  • Support and assist on the quarterly tax provision and accounting for income taxes under ASC740.
  • Conduct tax research to assist with various tax planning strategies.     
  • Develop strong relationships among cross-functional teams, including Accounting, External Reporting, Treasury, Finance, and external tax outsourcing teams.  Demonstrate organizational and interpersonal skills to support a collaborative environment and foster open communication.
  • Work to understand the business operations, data and information requirements for accurate tax compliance reporting.  Also, analyzing tax data/calculations/reports and understanding Edgewell’s technology environment and interfaces.
  • Assist Senior Tax Manager and Directors with worldwide transfer pricing compliance and reporting. 
  • Assist with tax controversies as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related degree required
  • CPA and/or MST preferred
  • 2 to 3 years International Tax experience in either public accounting or industry
  • International and Federal tax experience is required with knowledge in international tax concepts including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credit calculations and international reporting and compliance

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Highly motivated individual with an understanding of cross border tax issues, income tax accounting concepts, and the ability to manage transactional activity. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to create and comprehend advanced features within Excel models including pivot tables, V-look up, and other functionality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and the ability to clearly communicate complex tax issues.
  • Efficiently train, manage and motivate staff and the outsourced compliance team.

Working Relationships

  • Reports directly to Senior Tax Manager

Work Environment

  • Minimal/no travel requirements
  • Flexible hybrid model with 2 days in office/3 days remote.  More in office days may be required when necessary.

 

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
