Position Summary
The SAP FICO Architect is responsible for the project delivery, production support, maintenance and configuration of Edgewell SAP FICO solutions and related third party bolt-on systems globally. The Solution Architect uses their experience, knowledge and leadership skills to recommend solutions and guide team members including 3rd party contractors. The ideal candidate has extensive SAP experience related to SAP FI and CO modules configuration and must be able to analyze and document business flow from end to end as well as document designs and communicate code requirements to the ABAP development team.
Accountabilities
- Functional expert in SAP Financials modules with strong experience in COPA especially product costing as well as interfaces to these modules.
- Provides day to day support and maintains existing system functionality in parallel to working on various enhancements and cross functional projects.
- Manages SAP FICO configuration and testing.
- Collaborates with business users in requirement gathering, design, and deployment of new or improved business processes.
- Ensure financial applications are developed that comply with established standards, methodologies and best practices.
- Work with key business users to configure and modify SAP to meet business requirements using Best Practices.
- Translate overall business process design established during blueprinting to SAP FICO configuration.
- Collaborates with other SAP team members and managed service team to review requirements and develop possible solutions.
- Actively contributes to the development of business process flows, functional & technical specifications, & test cases and ensure full alignment with business users requirements.
- Serves as a change agent by partnering with business users and providing training and testing guidance as needed
- Collaborate with representatives of other IT/ functional areas to ensure end to end process integration and consistency.
- Help ensure a global solution using as much SAP standard design is implemented.
- Manage projects of small to medium size and scope.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field
- 8 years working in information technology with focus on required SAP modules FI and CO
- Deep experience implementing SAP Financial modules and integration experience with other modules such as SD and MM
- Strong skills in configuring Product Costing or Profitability Analysis
- Business process analysis and redesign experience: strong business analysis skills; process mapping; business process redesign and implementation
- Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support
- Global Implementation/Support experience
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Consumer Packaged Goods experience preferred
- 1-3 years of SAP S4 Hana Experience preferred
- Solid understanding of accounting, actual accounting experience is a plus
- Experience working in a Global organization
- Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies
- Time management skills are a must; as well as the ability to be flexible and creative
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Maintain a current awareness of SAP product developments and trends and how they can provide solutions for the business
- Ability to work well with teams or in a team environment as well as be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Work Environment
- Virtual meetings and schedule flexibility will be required to facilitate working with teams across multiple locations and time zones.
The salary range for this position is $$96,000 - 144,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
