Position Summary:
The Product Life Cycle Specialist supports and coordinates cross-functional activities, maintains product data integrity, and ensures lifecycle processes are executed consistently across functions such as R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Sales. The specialist plays a key role in product change management, phase-in/phase-out planning, and ensuring accurate product master data across enterprise systems.
The person who takes this role will be supporting the different initiatives to steer the portfolio for the Grooming Brands – Jack Black, Cremo, Bull Dog, and Wet Shave. This role will work and collaborate with Product Life Cycle Leads, US&CA Marketing & Innovation leads, Commercial, cross functional technical teams, and members of the end-to-end supply chain. This position will serve as a key contributing member on cross functional business teams and support the Grooming Brands directly. The individual must be a self-starter delivering Finished Good Bill Of Materials for Supply Chain to issue and transfer to external partners for production.
Essential Functions:
- Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) activities (policies and procedures) as well as the SME for data field usage for finished good BOM creation.
- Act as the operational connector between Marketing/Product, Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Commercial teams.
- Partner with supply planning and procurement teams to support phase-in/phase-out planning and minimize write-offs and shortages.
- Communicates and enforces policies and procedures for relevant PLM data processes and functions
- Acts as process expert for specific, critical PLM data
- Manages workflows and associated approvals for PLM system as well as specific PLM data based on workflow type
- Maintains confidentiality of privileged information stored on enterprise computing systems
- Enters appropriate G2M (Go-to-Market) data in PLM FG process per workflow type activated by G2M notifications
- Appropriate G2M data includes (but is not limited to) UPCs, SAP WP1 FG material number, copying current PLM FG for graphics - only changes
- Specific data includes (but is not limited to) package BOM (Bill of Material) for new components
- Executes PLM FG status changes per workflow type to initiate specific FG Workflow
- Updates appropriate documentation in PLM for defined G2M changes
- Maintain and validate product master data (SKUs, attributes, BOMs, pack specs, pricing inputs, regulatory data) in ERP/PLM/MDM systems.
- Ensure product data accuracy and readiness for launch (customer-ready content, packaging details, GTIN/UPC, etc.).
- Support system changes and data governance processes related to product updates, including audits and process documentation.
- Executes defined changes (minor) to PLM specifications without re-routing (typos, etc.)
- Initiates ER’s and routings for approval when notified by Planners for inactivated items
- Manages Packaging Component Request Form (lnfoPath) for Marketing to request part numbers for printed components
- Creates printed component in PLM & gets material master numbers (for numbers requested by Marketing)
- Pairs components with existing specs for graphics changes
- Changes status of component which then routes for approval
- Attaches artwork to printed components when released through BLUE
- Changes status of components which then routes for approval
- Participates as "content expert" on value stream events
- Identifies opportunities and actively participates in process improvement initiativesTrains new Marketing teammates on the process of Packaging Component Request Form
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field
- 3-5 years of experience in packaging development, Supply Chain, Project Management, Product Life Cycle Management, or equivalent experience
- Analytical skills, transforming data, and interacting with cross functional teams
- Experience in Process Improvement and process mapping efforts
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Office suite of tools and SAP-PLM
- Ability to work with virtual teams

- St. Louis, MO Office-based, Allendale, NJ Office-based, other locations to be considered
- Travel may be required: 10-20%
The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $74,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
