We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team and lead our Global Blackline program. As part of the Record to Report GBS tower, this role has an influential voice within Edgewell’s center of excellence for financial processes and systems.
The Manager, GBS Record to Report is responsible for the deployment, optimization, and ongoing administration of all Blackline modules across the global organization. The ideal candidate will build Edgewell’s Blackline program governance structure and expand engagement with global users, Blackline leads, functional leadership, and key IT resources. This position is also responsible for supporting and optimizing related financial processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and promoting global standardization and best practices.
This role requires a deep understanding of financial systems, proficiency in business processes, and strong foundations in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The successful candidate has significant hands-on experience with Blackline and SAP S/4 HANA and the ability to collaborate closely with teammates at all levels of the global organization to promote process improvements that enhance financial operations. The Manager, GBS Record to Report will also be responsible for other key General Ledger (G/L) and system-related tasks, including oversight of the global chart of accounts, foreign exchange rates, maintaining mapping for interfaces, and establishing new monitoring controls as needed.

Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary System Administrator and lead for Edgewell’s Global Blackline program.
- Responsible for the management of Blackline user role definition, administration of user access, performance of periodic user access reviews, and adherence to licensing agreements.
- Ensure reconciliation master data and attributes are maintained according to approved Account Reconciliation policy. Update risk assessment ratings and frequencies of reconciliations annually in support of the annual risk assessment process.
- Monitor and address service tickets submitted to the Blackline Support team by Edgewell teammates. Submit additional tickets to Blackline’s support portal when required to obtain additional technical support.
- Monitor the completion of scheduled jobs and imports between Blackline, SAP, and other key data sources.
- Work directly with Blackline users, Blackline leads, and IT teammates (as needed) to clarify requirements and provide recommendations for system changes, report creation, and enhancements.
- Implement all configuration-related changes to the Blackline environment in accordance with established change management process controls.
- Possess firm understanding of automation rules and settings within Blackline and review them periodically to identify new rules, changes to rules, or newly delivered features that would increase automation and efficiency.
- Build program to deliver new user training and provide existing users with annual training to ensure sustained levels of system proficiency.
- Develop relevant Blackline process KPIs, monitor performance, and conduct ongoing quality reviews.
- Construct and maintain RACI model between local and regional Blackline leads, functional stakeholders, and IT resources. Establish a cadence for regular interaction and communication.
- Assist teams with identifying and prioritizing use cases for the Matching module. Build action plans with input from key stakeholders and ensure there is adequate user knowledge of the Matching module and data sources to maintain and optimize the automation on an ongoing basis.
- Collaborate with functional leadership, regional management, and IT PMO to develop a roadmap for the expansion of the Account Reconciliations, Journals, and Task Management modules to other regions.
- Review Blackline release notes and assess potential impact to Edgewell’s Blackline environment and processes. Perform testing of changed or new functionality in Sandbox environment and deliver user communication and training as needed.
- Evaluate industry and application best practices and champion the development of new automation and/or process improvements. Includes attending relevant technology or industry conferences to learn about new products and best practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the flow of G/L data throughout the Blackline and SAP landscape, advising on the impact and implications of proposed changes within related processes or systems.
- Manage global responsibilities for various G/L and system-related tasks in SAP including global chart of accounts, exchange rates, G/L interface, and period maintenance. Promote standard usage and adherence to nomenclature and conventions to ensure data integrity and transparent reporting.
- Proactively identify potential opportunities and issues and communicate them promptly to other teams to reduce risk and delays in month-end close or other financial activities.
- Participate and respond timely to internal and external audit requests, including SOX control walkthroughs and testing.
- All other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 4-5 years of accounting experience with public accounting firms and/or public companies
- 2+ years of Blackline administrator experience (Account Reconciliations, Journals, Task Management, and/or Matching modules)
- 2+ years of experience with SAP (General Ledger, FI/CO)
- Certified Public Accountant
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong aptitude for understanding the end-to-end flow of business processes and financial data
- Relentless commitment to standardization and optimization of processes
- Experience with SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) and internal controls over financial reporting
- Proven history of successful collaboration and influencing across functions and levels
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to listen to understand

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Additional degree, major, or emphasis of study in Information Systems or Technology
- Big 4 public accounting firm experience
- Experience working with Hyperion (HFM, Hyperion Planning) and/or Oracle EPM
- Experience working with Power BI and/or SAP BW.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or packaged products industry
- Experience with developing and managing automation rules in an RPA environment
Work Environment
- Office environment, with option for hybrid working arrangement
- Potential for occasional work outside of normal hours to meet project or period close deadlines
- Travel up to 15%, which may include domestic and/or international travel
The salary range for this position is $112,000 - $168,000. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
