Position Summary

EPC is looking for a dynamic and energetic procurement professional to join our Global Indirect Procurement team.  Our goal is to maximize return on company investments through strong business partnership and strong procurement acumen.  This role will specifically lead the following categories:  Information Technology, IT Services, Hardware, Software, Maintenance and other Corporate Services categories as needed within Indirect Procurement. 


Specific Accountabilities

  • Responsible for development, stakeholder buy-in, and execution of Global/North America IT services sourcing strategies to deliver cost efficiencies, improving quality/service, and driving innovation across category spend; Specifically understanding full category related to purchasing of IT, software, hardware & maintenance
  • Define the IT/IS strategy related to supply sources, market environment, and business needs
  • Be the subject matter expert, display industry trends knowledge and understanding the supplier market
  • Identify & more forward continuous improvement opportunities
  • Conduct regular supplier meetings and QBR’s
  • Manage and lead RFP, RFI’s and other sourcing events
  • Effectively managing supplier relations and performance process to drive the most value from supplier base; Being comfortable having challenging conversations; Lead supplier issue resolution process
  • Be a driving force, inspiration, and coordinator for continuous process improvements; help identify opportunities to increase efficiency and alternative innovations that can bring value to our stakeholders
  • Identify needs and reduce unwanted or unneeded product or licenses
  • Engrain in IT organization and Edgewell business from project ideation to planning to execution to supplier management
  • Execute both strategic and tactical responsibilities across multiple stakeholder groups with agile approach (Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Management, Issue Resolution, Risk Management, Innovation, etc)
  • Is the go-to for the team on purchase orders, vendor creation, savings actual vs plan, & payment terms. 
  • Build strong internal relationships across multiple departments and across multiple levels (IT, HR, Legal, Operations, etc.)
  • Partner with key suppliers to identify opportunities and risks to the business
  • Understanding the supply market, costs drivers and other factors that drive cost/quality;
  • Define and plan complicated projects related to overall Procurement strategy
  • Delivering value beyond simply cost reductions
  • Interface with various members of IT and Operations team primarily at Manager/Director level, sometimes at the ELT level, including VP of IT, Directors of service lines and some interaction with other VPs of North America & International
  • Manage procurement lifecycle for IT and other Corporate Services categories


Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of Indirect Procurement Experience, must include 3+ years of IT procurement
  • Passion for Procurement, IT, technology, and digital capabilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong financial analysis skills to support business cases
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing processes specifically within role categories; Demonstrated understanding of IT contracts and structures
  • Ability to manage and influence business stakeholders without owning budget; From junior to senior stakeholders
  • Navigating through gray area – Ability to problem solve where process may not be 100% clear
  • Storytelling; balancing needs of business vs effective management of cost
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability communicate across multiple levels of layers, ability to manage conflict
  • Change agent:  Being able to navigate through changes internally along with driving change within categories
  • Ability to present complex ideas and strategies to the business in a way that everyone can understand


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Master’s Degree
  • Knowledge of the procure to pay process (SAP/Ariba)
  • Ability to interface with Edgewell Leadership Team (ELT) members
  • Strong consulting skills, specifically in managing change, project management and presenting
  • Knowledge of the other corporate services categories: Finance, HR, Legal, Facilities, Travel, R & D, etc
  • Familiarity with outsourcing + insourcing, vendor management and service level agreements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including total cost analysis


Working Relationships

  • Reports directly to the Director of Corporate Services and interfaces regularly with the VPs, Directors, and other leaders in IT and other areas within Indirect Procurement and the business


Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel may be required (10% or less)
