Plans, organizes and directs the essential functions of quality activities in support of plant production. Coordinates the quality activities of all operational departments and suppliers. Reports to the Director of Quality, and collaborates closely with the Managers of Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Administration.




  • Participating in establishing plant quality objectives with manufacturing management.
  • Utilize computer systems for managing the quality units (e-Performance, SAP, Minitab, Microsoft, etc.).
  • Guides colleague development and technical and behavioral growth.
  • Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements.
  • Minimize the risk and exposure to non-conformances and compliance gaps.
  • Oversight of all quality investigations to ensure timely closure.
  • Conduct Management Reviews of the Quality Management System.
  • Plans, executes, and evaluates continuous improvement in quality and process control.
  • Assures that corrective actions are taken to eliminate the causes of non-conforming product.
  • Determines and reports the principal cause of failures and non-conformance.
  • Monitors the quality capability of suppliers and assures that their quality systems are effective.
  • Conducts complaints investigations, report causes of customer dissatisfaction and promotes corrective actions for both domestic and international affiliates.
  • Insure that organizational systems and training is in place.
  • Ensuring that documentation and design controls are appropriate for organization.
  • Manage the quality work environment (office areas, set guidelines for supplies, establish work hours, dress attire, housekeeping standards, etc.).
  • Attend leadership meetings to represent the quality group.
  • Elevate quality issues above the Upper Management.
  • Collaborate with QA units in other origins.



  • Directly supervises quality team
  • Quality Management Representative for ISO9001 and/or government regulators.
  • Provides input and manages against a planned budget.
  • Verifies through Internal Audits that the quality system is effective.
  • Develops and causes implementation of strategies relating to quality of product design and manufacture.
  • Establishes policies and provides leadership and direction on quality issues to Operations and R&D
  • Directs the quality systems to assure the quality of the product to our customers.



· BS, MS or MBA required.  Technical discipline preferred.

· Minimum of 15 years’ experience in quality related jobs. 

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Strong verbal/written communication 

· Strong organizational, prioritizing and follow up skills; attention to details

· Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and display a sense of urgency.

· Ability to work well under pressure, with minimal supervision, meets deadlines, and interacts with a variety of personnel and contacts.

· Ability to think and act, with minimal supervision, to make decisions.

· Knowledge of statistics
