Primary Purpose of this Position:            

  • A member a of Quality Assurance team that will partner with both internal and external customers, to ensure that we meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Subject Matter Expert of Quality Engineering tools and statistical methodology.
  • Act as internal consultant providing technical guidance on projects.
  • Will utilize appropriate investigative tools, good engineering design and GMP’s when investigating issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Will lead projects, investigations, verifications, and validations as appropriate.
  • Assist in product releases
  • Facilitates change management activities and oversees the plant calibration program.
  • A fast-paced position that will participate in a wide array of quality events that will highlight ability to problem solve, develop technical reports and present information.



Essential Functions:                                       


  • Perform risk assessments to establish what type of validation methodology to be used.
  • Confirm the quality of products produced is consistent with EPC and FDA standards
  • Ensure the Quality Unit is functioning efficiently by assessing current processes and identifying ways to streamline or improve.
  • Ensure the timely closure of Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) investigations, on-going investigations, and other non-conformance investigations.
  • Support appropriate product development quality related projects.
  • Effectively communicate with cross functional groups located both externally and internally within the organization.
  • Creates and presents reports for management, and other internal groups.
  • Lead and/or coordinate elevated consumer complaints investigations to effectively meet applicable standard operating procedures.
  • Expert application of complex problem solving in a structured method.
  • Use of statistics and Quality Engineering tools (i.e. FMEA, DOE, SPC and MSA) to solve problems and recommend/lead CAPA.
  • Conducts quality audits on appropriate regulatory and procedural requirements.
  • Effectively interact with vendors, contract manufacturers, suppliers and cross functional teams relative to quality issues.
  • Write, review, revise, and approve Quality SOP’s.
  • Review and approve New Product specifications, Bill of Materials, Packaging Assembly Specs, Non-Conformance Reports and Deviations



Education and Experience:

  • BA or BS in a technical discipline such as Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Microbiology, Quality Systems, or related field.
  • 2-7 years quality related experience working in an FDA Regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
  • Excellent Computer skills
  • Well organized person
