JOB PURPOSE: Manage and coordinate the implementation of batching and converting process improvements. This results in daily operation efficiency improvements within the plant environment. The Manufacturing Engineer provides technical knowledge in the trouble shooting of operational problems within the facility. Work with the operational team to improve plant-manufacturing efficiencies and provide support in continuous improvement process of finished goods produced within the business. Provide support for smooth and timely introductions of new and modified packages.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS Required: MS Excel, Microsoft Project and MS Word using MS Windows platform. Experience preferred: SAP, MS PowerPoint, and AutoCAD (or similar)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Approximately 10% to 15% required
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Regular attendance is an essential job requirement. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction. The Ability to work with, listen to, and influence all types of personalities via leadership and by example to achieve results.

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $108,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
