Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Trade Strategy Manager will assist in creating the strategy for the respective category that will enable lead category growth - driven by outstanding pricing, presence, placement and promotion value creation to outperform the market.  This role will work closely with our Marketing and Sales teams, providing the right insights and targets, to ensure commercial strategies are designed to win with our retailer partners.

   

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and execute strategies and initiatives as outlined by the Sr. Sales Strategy Manager
  • Directional responsibility to deliver sales objectives on volume, spending and retail execution while also running the P&L and driving shares against existing portfolio, as well as future innovation within respective line of business.
  • Formulate a strategic plan to drive maximum volume and profitability (internally), while meeting external customer objectives and priorities within respective line of business.
  • Establish partnerships with multiple parties including internal cross-functional teams, brokers, and the customer retail team. These relationships thrive on mutual trust and integrity to achieve deliverables and execute against strategy and goals.
  • Develop plans to deliver designated account strategies and champion a mindset with colleagues to create solutions where everyone wins and productivity of investments increase.
  • Demonstrate consumer insights associated with strong brand equities to drive incremental growth and strengthen the customer investment strategy so that it is consistent with Retail Environment strategy, brand strategy, and shopper insights.
  • “Be the voice” of customer teams and the commercial teams, ensuring brand strategies and priorities are understood and executed to delight the retailer partners and consumers.

Ideal Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the CPG industry developing and implementing strategies to drive brand growth
  • Combination of Sales and Marketing experience or the equivalent of both customer facing experience and product development/management experience.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to manage and optimize a P&L.
  • Outstanding communication and influential skills.  Ability to develop a compelling vision and encourage others to invest limited resources to achieve it.
  • Passion to win and outperform the market.
  • Ability to measure performance and achieve results with a strong ability to influence.
  • Ability to deeply understand the shopper, the business, and key stakeholders to identify opportunities.
