Position Summary

We are currently seeking to fill 3 Trade Strategy roles to support each of our essential lines of business – Women’s Grooming, Men’s Grooming, and Sun & Skincare.  Reporting to the segment Director, each of the 3 Trade Strategy Leads will be responsible for creating the strategy for his/her respective category that will enable lead category growth - driven by outstanding pricing, presence, placement and promotion value creation to outperform the market.  These roles will work closely with our Marketing and Sales teams, providing the right insights and targets, to ensure commercial strategies are designed to win with our retailer partners. These are new positions that will provide the right candidates tremendous opportunity to shape the role.

   

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and align a category growth platform that inspires our retailer partners to invest in our brands and guides our commercial strategies. 
  • Co-create promotional strategies that drive profitable share growth and put in place proper metrics to ensure we are set up for future outperformance and appropriate post analysis to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Determine pricing strategies for category portfolio that optimizes revenue and profit while ensuring products meet or exceed retailer performance thresholds. 
  • Play an active role in driving revenue management best practices to increase sales and profit.
  • Create compelling strategies (i.e. pack/pricing) to maximize Edgewell and retailer profitability and minimize channel conflict while allowing for efficiencies of scale.
  • Lead the creation of shopper-based placement strategies to maximize incremental velocity of our brands and products and drive category growth for our retailer partners.
  • Identify opportunities for increasing distribution for our products that lead to increased category growth and collaborate with the teams to provide the insights to unlock these opportunities.
  • Partner with the commercial team to ensure brand strategies and plans are designed to delight our retailers, shoppers and consumers

 

Ideal Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the CPG industry developing and implementing strategies to drive brand growth
  • Combination of Sales and Marketing experience or the equivalent of both customer facing experience and product development/management experience.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to manage and optimize a P&L.
  • Outstanding communication and influential skills.  Ability to develop a compelling vision and encourage others to invest limited resources to achieve it.
  • Passion to win and outperform the market.
  • Ability to measure performance and achieve results with strong ability to influence.
  • Ability to deeply understand the shopper, the business and key stakeholders to identify opportunities.
