POSITION SUMMARY: Trade Analytics is where business, innovation and technology intersect to create competitive advantage for EPC.  The Customer Business Planning & Management system (PLATO) is a key platform for customer promotional and investment planning.  Information from the system empowers the Commercial Team to make better, faster business decisions that drive profitable net sales growth and a competitive advantage in the market.

 

This position supports the assigned customer teams with 1) plan entry quality to drive sales forecast accuracy and trade investment analysis, 2) system reported sales and trade aligned with Sales’ expectations, and 3) system training and best practice guidance. 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Data and plan entry quality
    • Assess PLATO data quality & plan entry accuracy; challenge data as necessary & effect change as needed. 
    • Actualization of event execution to confirm promotion executed as planned or adjust accordingly
    • Forecast sales and trade investment monthly and annually
  • Plan management support
    • Analyze forecast variability and consult Sales on contributing factors to changes
    • Support NAMs with 4P input and event set up
  • System training and best practices
    • Train Sales Teams on system enhancements and application during key planning periods
    • Provide follow up and refresher training to Sales Teams
  • Strategic Analytics Projects
    • Review planned activity and consult Sales Teams on opportunities for future promotion optimization
    • Support Trade Investment Manager in trade analytics and presentations to Sales Team

Key Interactions:

The Associate Manager, Trade Analytics will have key relationships with Managers across the Commercial Team (Sales, Finance, and Demand Planning).

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Business Planning systems, analytics or forecasting experience in the Consumer Package Goods industry
  • Experience with Trade Promotion planning and management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data to develop solutions to business issues.
