Position Summary                       

The position Sr. Sales Operations Manager is responsible for increasing sales force productivity and efficiency by strengthening sales processes, managing the implementation of brand strategy and coordinates the resources of Sales, Marketing, Finance and others to achieve EPC’s business goals of profit, volume and share. The Sr Manager will also identify opportunities and lead improvements that result in driving profitable Net Sales for EPC.  Position reports into the Director, Sales Operations.


  1. Working with Marketing, develop the implementation and execution plan of brand strategies.  This includes spearheading the needs and coordination of the annual planning meeting materials, preparation for annual Long Lead calls, 4P strategies, amongst others.
  2. Develop and implement improvements for field sales that increase sales force efficiency and productivity. Develop and implement improvements for sales processes such as New Product Launches, Competitive Monitoring, Sales Execution, Sales Training, and others as necessary. Ensure assigned processes are communicated, understood, and followed across the organization to drive success. Modify processes as necessary as a continuous improvement.  Partner with other Sales Operations teammates to develop a Center of Excellence (COE) Knowledge Warehouse for improved organization and storage of critical information for the Sales team.
  3. Support Channel Team and broader Commercial team in managing marketplace harmonization.  Play more active role for customers outside Top 5.  As channel teams bring forth channel strategy needs to win (special packs for example), work with internal and external teams to understand the strategy, the offering, and generate pricing slopes, for review and alignment by US VP’s.
  4. Lead Pricing strategy implementation and execution in market.  Working with brand marketing, play active role in creation of pricing strategy, generate implementation and execution plan along with in market compliance and reporting.  Specific work includes identifying implications to promotional strategy, drive selling story, commercial communication (including Master Data & PLATO), in market performance tracking and reporting.
  • Drive Commercial strategic initiatives and tactical deliverables that impact field sales.  Type of work includes partnering with other Commercial teammates on Promotional analytics & in market performance reporting.
  1. Manage the sales communication process, including field sales enabling technologies and sales business intelligence / reporting: Manage the communication process to drive agility and clarity in communications and decision-making between Marketing and Sales teams, provide recommendations to simplify and streamline the process to create better, faster decision-making; develop and manage new communications and reporting technologies as appropriate for EPC.
  2. Lead coordination of execution across Commercial partners during times of Product change or Inventory challenges.  Product changes include graphic change, product or case pack change, discontinuations etc.   Manage the communication to the field and actively participate with teammates on the implementation of product changes.  Lead customer allocation needs and splits for pipe, replenishment and promotional support.


  • Required Skills and Experience
  • 4 year college degree
  • 5-8 years direct sales, sales operations or sales planning experience
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Strong project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to independently structure and lead complex analyses / situations
  • Working knowledge of syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI, Spectra, Panel)
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills
  • Embrace change and evolving business needs
