Position Summary

The Global Procurement- Center of Excellence (COE ) is a high visibility team within Edgewell’s Global Procurement department.  The COE’s focus is to enable Procurement to provide a competitive advantage to EPC.  The COE engages with category procurement in a highly collaborative-interactive model to enable sourcing strategies, risk management & developing “Best in Class” processes and procedures in conjunction with the Global Procurement Leadership team and other support functions (e.g. IT, Finance).  Focus areas include but are not limited to Data & Spend Analytics, Category sourcing, Supplier Relationship & Risk Management, Sustainability and Procurement Systems.

 

This Procurement COE analyst role will help processes, analytics and programs related to Global Procurement’s sourcing across direct and indirect procurement categories.  The analyst will work closely with the Manager of Procurement COE to drive enhancements and projects in category strategy enablement across the S2P process.  This position will interact with leaders within Global Procurement and across Edgewell leading and influencing key decisions related to sourcing strategies.  

 

This position requires collaboration with procurement category leads globally across multiple geographies and work cultures, to enable category strategies.  Additionally, this position will support the manager in process improvement initiatives related to contracting, supplier performance management and global sourcing projects. This role operates withing Edgewell’s established ‘Future Fit’ behavior and supports career development and growth opportunities.

 

This hybrid role can be located at any of these office locations: Shelton, CT; Milford, CT; St. Louis (Chesterfield) MO

 

Accountabilities

  •  eSourcing Strategy, Execution & Project Management
    • Partner with procurement category leads to enable category strategies by providing templates and sharing best practices across sourcing portfolios.
    • Conduct benchmarking across geographies and categories to inform smarter sourcing decisions.
    • Prepare data and manage the end-to-end execution of sourcing events (RFP, RFQ, Auctions) using procurement e-sourcing tools, including detailed analysis and recommendations. Act as a project lead for sourcing initiatives, coordinating timelines, navigating multiple procurement category leaders, and ensuring successful execution across global stakeholders.
    • Develop and deliver high-level reports on e-sourcing activities, outcomes, and project status to senior management, highlighting successes, key metrics, and strategic insights.
  • Contracting Governance
    • Manage and maintain the contract platform in collaboration with legal, serving as a technical resource to global procurement.
    • Ensure best practices in supplier contract management, templates, criteria etc. are utilized.
    • Provide governance for contract review and approval - signing process, including tracking upcoming contract expirations.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
    • Support the development of SRM programs, including supplier segmentation, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and collaborative planning.
    • Foster strong supplier relationships to drive innovation, mitigate risks, and maximize value creation opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Process Improvement
    • Support internal and cross-functional initiatives to enhance contracting, supplier performance management, and global sourcing processes.
    • Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across procurement teams.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • B.S. / B.A. degree in Business or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a business function such as Finance, Business Analytics, Procurement Operations or related field
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a global organization with minimum supervision
  • Understanding of commodity markets and ability to perform analysis to create actionable insights
  • Data Mining & Data Analysis: High proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Business Data Models is required.
  • Database manipulation skills with the ability to create moderate to complex formulas
  • Excellent Powerpoint skills, ability to present to all levels of the organization, including Senior Leadership
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant technology systems including ERP, e-Procurement, Spend Analysis, and Contract Management
  • Analytical Curiosity: Comfortable working with detailed data; logical, creative, problem-solving mindset.
  • Influencing skills: Ability to build credibility and sell recommendations at all levels of the organization; deliver objective, data-driven solutions with clear business context
  • Team Leadership: Capable of organizing and guiding project teams to deliver process improvements
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to explore & evaluate broad potential solution sets and provide objective data-driven recommendations
  • Continuous improvement mentality with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: ability to work effectively with diverse, cross-functional stakeholders and team members
  • Ability to travel periodically (less than 20%)

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with eSourcing tools is highly desirable
  • Experience with process development, process improvement, and training

 

Working Relationships

  • Reports to Manager, Global Procurement COE
  • Key relationships internally primarily include Procurement Leadership team, Procurement category managers and Global procurement team with occasional collaboration with Global Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Research and Development, Sales, and Commercial.  External engagement will include external service providers supporting Global Procurement and other functions.

 

Work Environment

  • May be required to work non-core hours based on global department structure
  • Minimal Travel

 

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $108,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
