Position Summary

The Payroll Analyst will be primarily responsible for administering the payroll process for the LATAM region. This role is the subject matter expert who collaborates with stakeholders, such as Human Resources, Finance, Treasury, Accounting and, when applicable, external resources to ensure payroll administration is accurate, timely and properly reconciled.

 

Universal Accountabilities

 

Specific Accountabilities

  • Responsible for accurate and timely payrolls in all markets of responsibility: LATAM countries
  • Understand and apply company pay policies, audit guidelines and local government regulations
  • Support audit activities for all internal and external audits and act as primary contact all payroll-related testing and explanations for countries of responsibility
  • Work with local HR Business Partners to ensure that payroll and HR data is accurately and timely input in the appropriate HR and payroll systems
  • Work with local Finance Partners to support efforts and processes that ensure payroll output is accurately reflected in financial systems and on company financial statements
  • Contributes to global process improvement initiatives and system enhancement efforts to support colleague, Finance and HR needs
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge
  • Recommend ongoing changes to improve the quality and cost of Payroll and Time Management services
  • Serve as the point of contact to assist vendor partners resolve inquiries related to payroll processing and HR data
  • Other duties may include but not limited to:
    • Ensure pay adjustments follow audit guidelines, monitor for regulatory changes and ensure vendor properly applied
    • Receive and interpret garnishments, levies, and child support orders and coordinate processing with Payroll vendor
    • Support the maintenance, upkeep and modification of earning and deduction records
    • Prepare required reports or payments to government agencies, insurance companies and other organizations

 

 

 

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration or related field;
  • Payroll certification is required  
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of payroll processing in a fast-paced environment supporting a manufacturing workforce; ability to multi-task
  • LATAM payroll knowledge
  • Time and attendance system administration  
  • Process improvement experience
  • Accounting reconciliation experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) skills

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Payroll vendor administration

 

Working Relationships

  • Local HR Business Partners to ensure that payroll and HR data is accurately input into HR and Timekeeping systems
  • Local Finance Partners to ensure that payroll output is accurately reflected in financial systems and on company financial statements
