Position Summary

This position will serve a critical role to develop, implement, and evaluate Marketing activities to meet profit and sales objectives. The successful candidate will have decision-making responsibilites and manage the overall coordination necessary to properly set direction for and lead a brand.  This role will report directly into the Group Marketing Director and will work closely with a variety of key stakeholders to establish the brand objectives.  Primaryresponsibilites will include establishing and achieving business goals, strategies and tactics, trade spend management, forecasting, pricing, analysis and reporting, and building and maintaining customer relationships.

Accountabilities

Business Analytics

  • Effectively synthesize data from multiple sources to make both short and long term business recommendations
  • Analyze data and provide thoughtful assumptions to develop Key Learning’s and implications for brand
  • Identify consumer insights and develop innovative programs to capitalize on these opportunities
  • Perform analysis to identify portfolio/category gaps
  • Identifiy opportunities to apply learning to other brands/segments outside the scope or responsibility

 

Strategic Planning

  • Lead the Annual Business Plan (ABP) process including work plan management, developing accurate analyses, leading agency partners and P&L development
  • Lead execution of multiple marketing programs as part of ABP

 

Brand Development (Consumer Communication)

  • Lead the development of brand positioning statements, product concepts & promotional concepts
  • Establish communications platform
  • Lead Claims development process (product and marketing claims only) with R&D and agency partners
  • Lead promotional or major packaging graphics projects  including overseeing timeline to deliver on–shelf execution date
  • Lead advertising development from briefs to overseeing consumer research to validate advertising

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business or Marketing related discipline
  • 5+ years CPG experience having directly supported a brand in a global or commerical organization with strong analytical responsibilities;

  • MBA preferred
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented; ability to to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and work effectively with team membes and various key stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills; demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle several projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and matrixed environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner aross various levels of the organization
  • Advanced analytics including Marketing mix, pricing elasticity, bases volumetric, equity tracking, PERT studies
