Position Summary

Gifted at turning raw data into actionable insights, the Social Data Analyst will measure online conversations via social listening, social media channel data, and site traffic to inform the brand, digital, and social media teams. They must have an in-depth understanding of digital and social media and able to tackle projects with little direction, think independently, and work across a range of brands and tasks. A natural collaborator with an entrepreneurial spirit, this person works across teams to level up competitive intelligence. He or she should enjoy identifying what works and what doesn’t to help inform future social media strategies.


Accountabilities
 

  • Responsible for building and maintaining social listening dashboards for brand health and competitive intelligence within the social listening tool; take the initiative on the refinement of query parameter setup (via keywords or Boolean query) to ensure accurate and insightful mention analysis is available
  • Comfort navigating social channel analytics (e.g., Facebook Analytics, Facebook Attribution, Pinterest Analytics, etc.) and site analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) and divining insights for internal teams
  • Monitor Edgewell and competitor's owned social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and paid ads, pull and analyze data, provide strategic recommendations based on key findings
  • Work directly with Social Media Strategists to inform campaign and content development, often in partnership with other internal and external agencies
  • Coordinate with the Consumer Insights team on category level insights as needed
  • Deliver digital performance in the form of reports, dashboards or emails that convey the results in a way that explains what happened, why it happened, and what we do next

 

Required Education, Skills And Experience
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Mathematics, or Statistics (or equivalent experience)
  • Three years of professional experience in marketing/business analytics, statistical analysis, consumer insights, predictive modeling or segmentation, or social media setting
  • Strong familiarity with multiple social channels and how they work (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, etc.)
  • Must be proficient in excel with demonstrated ability to organize and consolidate multiple data sources for analysis
  • Must have experience with Social Listening tools (e.g., Synthesio, Brandwatch) and Social Media Management Systems (e.g., Hootsuite, Khoros, Sprinklr)
  • Proven ability to build Boolean queries

 

Desirable Education, Skills, And Experience

 

  • Familiarity with programmatic data, website data, sales data, TV ratings, and influencers a plus
  • Experience building new social listening and competitive analysis programs
  • Enjoys collaborating with strategists to find new solutions to build brands
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
