We are looking for a social-first communications pioneer – someone who is hungry, creative, innovative, and consumer-driven who will help us drive brand awareness and build brand love through various consumer touchpoints. This position develops and helps tell our story to customers and other external audiences.  This newly created role will support current and long-term corporate and brand objectives through media relations outreach efforts that generates interest in the company and our brands. These same stories are brought to life through the conception, creation, and management of organic social media content and external Influencer content.  The role is part big picture strategy and part tactical brand storyteller and requires a strong understanding of and interest in our customer’s mindset, always seeking to meet the customer where he/she is. The incumbent must be cognizant of the brand goals and strategy, fluent in social media best practices, content creation methods (prioritizing video), media engagement and buzz building, and must be highly collaborative, organized, and agile.  This role will work closely with the US Marketing team as well as the Creative Content team to build and implement influencer marketing strategy to grow consumer base and drive sales revenue.

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Drive the strategy and execution of the category and brand’s earned media and organic influencer marketing plans including the integration of paid media, and social selling efforts of the US sales team.
  • Own social content and platform positioning to ensure thoughtful and intentional approach to content distribution, community engagement and innovative, break-through storytelling.
  • Oversee social media calendar to align with current marketing/sales initiatives and liaise closely with Marketing and Commercial Acceleration team on upcoming launches, changes in inventory and styles that need to be pushed via social channels.
  • Lead influencer strategy and partnerships, identifying key partners each season, outlining storytelling and product priorities, and executing negotiation and contracts.
  • Own and deploy budget across influencer paid partnerships, gifting and social creative content to most effectively achieve goals.
  • Build 360 social, influencer and community campaigns across platforms to create high impact moments throughout the year and further extend larger marketing initiatives to these owned and earned channels based on thorough understanding of consumer audience, and current / emerging social trends.
  • Work closely with creative content team on producing, sourcing and executing social assets, including photo shoots, graphics, videos.
  • Oversee approvals, schedule and posting of all social media content (include links, captions, hashtags, alt text, geotags).
  • Lead team’s influencer focused partnership strategy with consistent research and identification of strategic influencers to target as potential long-term brand partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships to drive organic brand support.
  • Present analytics and insights for all social media platforms with actionable suggestions on a regular basis and longer-term trends, covering growth, engagement, new followers, site traffic and conversion.
  • Work closely with the brand strategy & digital activation teams to ensure all brand communications, media plans, and influencer marketing efforts are aligned and synergistic.
  • Ideate around impactful influencer programming to support strategic launches and pillar priorities.
  • Support the Digital & Media Marketing Manager with competitive best practices to maximize visibility and engagement on key social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok)
  • Lead any relevant consumer promo & brand experience initiatives (i.e., sampling)
  • Become EPC’s social thought-leader, championing an organization-wide understanding of current & emerging social trends & platforms, and implications to help our brands best connect with consumers.
  • Attract, grow, engage, and retain talent through timely, effective, and consistent use of performance management, succession, planning, coaching, and other talent management tools.  Identify and drive participation in training, development and career growth opportunities for team members.

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, PR, Communications or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of PR and Influencer Marketing experience with strong writing and storytelling capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the influencer and media landscape.
  • Strong creative and strategic thinking capabilities. With a lean team, attention to detail and cross functional partnership is imperative. Must be able to remain organized & a proactive self-starter to succeed within this environment.

 

Desirable Education, Skills and Experience

  • Professional writing skills, including strategies, press releases, media alerts, talking points, and guidelines amongst others.
  • Digital Marketing / Advertising experience preferred but not required.
  • Curious, digital-first thinker who will drive innovation in this area.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and work effectively with team members and various key stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills; demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle several projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
