Position Summary:

 

Reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence, the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence is responsible for translating data into actionable and strategic insights to drive enhanced consumer understanding, business insights, market learnings, and commercial strategies that result in measurable business impacts in support of EPCs growth and profitability initiatives.   

They will lead data-driven analyses, build custom analytical models and capabilities, and collaborate with the cross-functional commercial team in delivering enhanced analytic rigor and competences across the organization. They will be able to translate large technical and complicated analytical projects into simple business insights and recommendations for the commercial team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive commercial strategy and execution and contribute to the company's growth and success.

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Lead, manage, and prioritize commercial analytic projects and resources, providing strategic direction and thought leadership to support business objectives.
  • Develop and implement analytics and capabilities to drive enhanced strategic investment decisions, drive revenue growth, market share, consumer understanding, and product innovation that align with EPC's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of market dynamics and trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive environment to inform strategic planning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into actionable insights and analytics leveraging data-driven solutions.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced data models, analyses, and reporting to drive best in class commercial strategies and executions.
  • Drive the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from various sources and leverage advanced analytic capabilities to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate complex technical and analytical models into clear and compelling business insights and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
  • Advance a data-driven culture within the organization by championing the use of data and analytics in decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in commercial analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

 

 

Required Education, Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in commercial analytics, business intelligence, consumer insights, data analytics, or a related field; CPG experience highly preferred.

 

 

Desirable Education, Skills and Experience

 

  • Experience within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry, ideally within the Beauty and Personal Care space.
  • Expertise with Syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana/IRI, Nielsen) and leveraging syndicated data sources for commercial applications such as model building, business driver decomps, consumption and NPD forecasting.
  • Familiarity with analytical tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, SQL, Python, R, Tableau).
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  •  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and build recommendations that are focused on business impact and performance
  • Experience in working with large amounts of disparate data sources and advanced analytic modeling capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work across multiple groups and levels across the organization in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management/problem solving skills and the ability to manage and prioritize many projects simultaneously.
  • Self-sufficient, creative learner with natural intellectual curiosity and passion for data, analytics, and driving business insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive quantifiable business impact using advanced analytics and business intelligence to deliver insights across all levels of an organization.

 

 

The salary range for this position is $132,000–$204,000

 

Compensation for this position varies based on a range of e.qual opportunity factors, including but not limited to role scope, level of experience, relevant skills, education and credentials, external and internal benchmarks for equivalent roles and experience, business sector, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the specific facts and circumstances of each case. In addition to base salary, the total rewards package may also include, for eligible roles, bonus, and long-term Incentive.
