Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Search Marketing Manager to join the Edgewell team.  As the Search Marketing Manager you will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing our paid search strategy across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Amazon Search, Walmart Search, Criteo and Instacart. Our online presence is an extremely important component to each brand’s integrated marketing & media plan so this position will play an important role in driving our growth and success. This role will be part of the Digital Strategy & Performance Marketing team supporting the Consumer Experience team and the Marketing team. This person will be responsible for creating and managing paid search campaigns across all Edgewell brands in the US. We need a results-driven specialist that can drive strategies as well as guide data driven tactical decisions on an ongoing basis. This role will also be responsible for creating and sharing best practices and frequent learnings across the organization. 



  • Plan, implement and optimize holistic paid search strategy including recommended tactics for each brand and based on business goals and communication objectives across different platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Amazon Search, Walmart Search, Criteo and Instacart) among others
  • Experience and knowledge of the similarities and differences of the above-mentioned platforms and how campaign structure strategy/approach varies between them (SEM vs. eRetail Search etc.)
  • Develop and execute paid search strategy, optimization plans, testing methodology, and A/B tests to efficiently and effectively manage campaign budgets, allocation and performance
  • Work hand in hand with the Marketing team to ensure integration into holistic marketing and media plans on an ongoing basis
  • Analyze performance data and provide interpretation and appropriate action plans. Scope is inclusive of keywords, ad copy, ASIN’s, targeting settings, seasonal/geographical trends, search queries, landing pages, product detail pages, devices and more
  • Perform ongoing keyword research and competitive analysis to identify and discover new insights that will help us to refine our plans, target audiences and content strategies
  • Work with Consumer experience team, Creative team & other cross-functional teams on content strategy including the development of new content, copy, site optimizations, A+ content creation, etc. that will help drive higher conversion rates from our paid search campaign landing pages/product detail pages
  • Manage associated Paid Search tags and pixels including overall tracking strategy, implementation and reporting
  • Work with internal teams to optimize product feed (i.e. Google Merchant Center) for use in the various search campaign executions (i.e. Google Shopping Ads, Smart Shopping)
  • Experience managing various Amazon advertising solutions (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display etc.) along with different targeting abilities (keyword targeting, product attribute targeting etc.)
  • Experience managing Walmart Sponsored Product campaigns and an understanding of the nuances between campaign types (automatic campaigns vs. manual campaigns) and ad placements (search results, search brand amplifier, carousels and buy boxes.
  • Proactively learn about search engine behaviors, technology, news and strategies and present key developments and discoveries with the other team members via internal and external communications
  • Maintain high levels of up-to-date knowledge of best practices and strategies to share with the global Edgewell organization
  • Work directly with search platform vendors to take advantage of new offerings, tests as well as acquire ideas for building efficient scale and solicit performance data for optimization.
  • Provide senior-level support around competitive presence, marketing strategies and tactical execution.


Required Education, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in paid search marketing, ideally within Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Amazon Search, Walmart Search, Criteo and Instacart
  • Mastery of all basic paid search fundamentals and optimization abilities across platforms
  • Proficiency in strategic development and management of search planning, execution, optimization and reporting
  • Experience managing large scale Paid Search budgets ($2MM+) and meeting or exceeding monthly goals for spend, revenue, ROAS, customer acquisition, and other key performance metrics.
  • Experience and proficiency with Google Analytics and/or other website performance suites
  • Experience with 3rd party bid management platforms such as Search Ads 360 (SA360), Kenshoo, Marin or other similar tools
  • Biased toward action. Takes initiative, can hit the ground running and move projects forward right from the start.
  • The ability to perform with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrate creativity and problem-solving skills and communicate complex messages to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • The ability to find the story within the data. Not just the what, but the why
  • Experience in interfacing with both technical and business teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of new technological trends, and the value of emerging channels, platforms, and/or technology
  • Comfortable putting together various types of reports/presentations and presenting them to senior-leadership teams
  • Certifications (Preferable): Google Ads, Google Analytics, Amazon Advertising
  • Paid Search experience in Personal Care or other relevant industry preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
