Position Summary

Edgewell has an opportunity for a Public Relations Manager to join our team. In this role, you are responsible for building and leading the company's public relations (PR) program by setting the strategy and creating content that showcases Edgewell as a prominent brand within the consumer-packaged goods industry. The ideal candidate understands how to position us as an inspiring, diverse workplace, and highlights our positive environmental and social impact. This includes generating and managing engagements with media outlets and identifying opportunities for executive thought leadership to advance the Edgewell brand with consumers, customers, suppliers, investors, prospective teammates, and other audiences.


The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about media relations, possess exceptional written and editorial skills, demonstrate keen strategic thinking, and have outstanding interpersonal communications skills as a company representative. You will report to the Director of Communications and have the shared support of a Communications Coordinator.



  • Develop plans and execute media engagement and thought leadership communications to generate national regional, and trade media coverage
  • Lead Edgewell’s external executive visibility strategy, including by-lined articles, speaking opportunities, etc.
  • Prepare subject matter experts and executives as spokespeople for media engagement
  • Collaborate with Brand teams, as needed and appropriate, to develop and implement strategies for external company positioning, messaging and narrative
  • Provide PR guidance and insights to executives and leadership teams across the organization
  • Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with press contacts, with a focus on financial, consumer goods/retail and select trade media.
  • Measure and track media relations outcomes
  • Manage industry and Edgewell news reporting to the Global Leadership Team
  • Create high-quality written materials, including press releases, executive briefings, media pitches, blog content, and thought leadership pieces
  • Prepare reactive responses in partnership with internal stakeholders and serve as a primary stakeholder in crisis communications scenarios
  • Align efforts with department and organizational goals, working closely with Internal and Social Communications teammates for a unified corporate voice
  • Manage messaging and content on the company’s corporate website
  • Develop and grow the Communications Coordinator with foundational PR knowledge and skills
  • Support the Edgewell Brand by demonstrating behaviors consistent with Edgewell’s values and driving our purpose of Making Useful Things Joyful
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Experience

  • Requires a minimum of six years of experience in public relations; corporate agency PR experience preferred
  • Track record of solid earned media relationships with national and regional, financial, and trade outlets
  • Experience providing strategic counsel to senior and executive leaders
  • Demonstrated success working effectively in cross-functional, matrixed teams

  • Due to global footprint and nature of media engagement, will require occasional meetings/work outside of typical business hours
