Position Summary

Procurement Manager position, significant Direct spend and staff responsibility. This position focuses on the strategic aspects of Procurement and Develops and Drives Category Strategy in support of operational needs.    

 

Raw Materials – Plastic Resins and Blade Steel Spend Segments

 

 Specific Accountabilities

  • Responsible for developing and implementing Category strategies for assigned commodity and spend.
  • Hire, manage and train staff.
  • Actively manage commodity / regional spend along with the supply base and internal relationships that come with assigned segmentation.
  • Supplier negotiations, contract/ MSA execution
  • Monitoring price / PPV / LE forecasting
  • System / SAP / Ariba interfaces
  • Delivering to annual CIP targets  
  • Development of industry expertise, Conduct detailed supply market analysis and create category profiles. 
  • Communication and interpersonal skills are a must, presentation and execution of Category Strategies
  • Strategic Sourcing and supplier evaluation 
  • Contract  execution and management, Business law
  • Understands and complies with regulatory bodies and programs 
  • Maintains and establishes key performance Metrics
    • SRM – Supplier Relationship Management
    • IRM  -  Internal Stakeholder  Relationship
    • Budget / planning / financial tracking / analytics 
  • Supports NPD activity and innovation stream  
  • Change Agent, facilitate  and lead cross functional teams 
  • Total Cost model  
  • 7 step strategic sourcing process
  • RFP/RFQ process
  • Supports all Procurement Initiatives as assigned

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering (or other related degree programs)  
  • 5+ years of management experience in Sourcing, Procurement consulting and or Operations 
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes, organization, and technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant IT systems including;  ERP, Spend Analytics and Contract Management
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a global organization with minimum supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interface at all levels of the organization in different parts of the world
  • Strong Excel and database manipulation skills,  financial and statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), SAP and Ariba
  • Strong business acumen
  • Track record of consistent Cost Savings / CI contribution
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams 
  • Experience managing Raw Materials and or Chemicals segments  

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • CPIM or CSCMP certifications
  • Six Sigma or Lean/Kaizen
  • Consumer Products Industry
  • ERP/ SAP / Ariba User 
  • 7 Step Sourcing Model

The salary range for this position is $104,000-156,000. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
