Position Summary                       

The National Account Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the annual customer business plan at assigned customer(s) for the branded Edgewell portfolio. The National Account Manager works with the Channel Team Leader responsible for the assigned accounts. The National Account Manager works with the team and other Edgewell Personal Care functions to ensure plan goal alignment and business opportunity identification for his/her assigned customer(s) with regard to profit, volume, share and program objectives.  The National Account Manager will be responsible for directly managing Wakefern and Wegmans.

Universal Accountabilities

  • Develop Annual Customer Business Plan: Develop and finalize the annual customer business plan that meets Edgewell Personal Care’s brand strategies and objectives for the assigned customer(s). Ensure that the plans incorporate programs that achieve the company’s business goals with regard to profit, volume and share, as well as program characteristics and implementation timing.
  • Lead Customer Business Team: Lead and manage the day-to-day sales contact by the channel/customer business team members with the assigned customer(s) involving planning, selling, and managing program implementation. Ensure the effective and actionable communication of Edgewell Personal Care’s company and marketing strategies to the customers.
  • Achieve Goals: Identify, monitor and address specific customer needs to achieve company goals with assigned account(s) for profit, volume and share.
  • Manage Agency: Communicate, lead and manage program implementation by the assigned sales agency(s) to achieve Edgewell Personal Care objectives. Train and develop assigned agency managers to achieve company goals and long-term skill development.
  • Provide Customer Forecasts: Ensure the timely and actionable forecasting in collaboration with Demand Management of customer needs with regard to profit, volume and share goals, as well as program implementation and timing.
  • Enhance Customer Contact: Help enhance customer contact to achieve penetration at the senior management level and across functional areas that can drive enhanced Edgewell Personal Care business performance.


Required Skills and Experience

  • BA/BS Required and 10 years of experience with consumer products companies – Focus on Sales experience at account level as well as broker partner experience
  • Preferred customer knowledge/experience with Wakefern
  • Teamwork / Collaboration
  • P&L acumen
  • Strong Broker Management skills
