Position Summary                       

The position of Merchandising &Display Manager will be an integral member of the Sales organization and will provide thought leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of merchandising activities to improve sales performance. In support of the brand & sales teams, this role will influence cross-functional teams in strategy and flawless execution of displays and will work closely with the commercial team to identify innovative and cost-effective merchandising and shopper strategies to drive both top line and profitability targets. As a member of the larger Customer Engagement & Operations team, this role will play a critical role in improving the way EPC shows up to the Customer & Consumer. 

 

Universal Accountabilities

  1. Manage all promotional programs and activities (displays, racks & POP) including, but not limited to a) Participate in all required planning and reporting to develop and align on the Display (National & Account Specific) each year. b) Lead weekly co-packer Project Review Meeting.  Ensure all special packs and displays are legally approved and meet or exceed all internal quality standards. Support the process of evaluating and approving opportunities during the year c) serve as expert for inline merchandising solutions to drive category / brand share gains.

 

  1. Own Cost Management and Budget Tracking.  Proactively identify opportunities to reduce display costs and increase display effectiveness.  Create budget rigor by leading monthly budget meetings with finance and brand partners to provide budget reporting/reconciliation. 

 

  1. Leverage retail/competitive insights/industry trends to support recommendations and to drive out of the box solutions.  Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of retail merchandising trends and share this knowledge and strategic implications across the organization; perform regular retail visits as needed.

 

  1. Partner with BU & Sales team to understand and apply brand & customer strategies especially creative Strategy, Merchandising Strategy, and Brand positioning.  Apply latest approved iterations of brand graphics and key copy points; interface with creative agencies to aid in developing graphics. 

 

  1. Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and look to drive synergies, when possible, across all BUs.  Work directly with internal operations teams and external partners (co-packers, suppliers, agencies) to foster positive working relationships to drive positive change.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-year college degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ management of complex projects
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Strong project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to independently structure and lead analysis
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills

 

Working Relationships

  • Reports to Senior Sales Operations and M&D Manager
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

 

Work Environment

  • Hybrid

 

The salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
