Position Summary
As an End User Computing Intern at Edgewell Personal Care, you will gain hands-on experience in IT support and infrastructure while working on meaningful projects that improve the computing experience for Edgewell’s employees. This internship offers an opportunity to develop technical and interpersonal skills by supporting our End User Computing team in delivering exceptional IT services to our workforce.
Hourly Pay: $20
Location: Shelton, CT Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and peripherals to end users via phone, email, and in-person.
• Assist with setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Mac workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Participate in managing the lifecycle of IT assets, including inventory tracking, provisioning, and decommissioning.
• Help maintain and improve documentation for end-user support processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to roll out software updates, patches, and new technologies.
• Support the onboarding of new employees by preparing and configuring IT equipment and providing orientation on IT systems.
• Assist in the implementation of new End User Computing projects, such as device rollouts, automation, or enhanced support tools.
• Identify and suggest improvements to enhance the user experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Education:
• Currently enrolled in high school level education or higher
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong interest in IT support and technology.
• Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, MacOS), hardware, and common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration tools).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with users at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Organizational and time management skills to balance multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems or remote support tools.
• Knowledge of mobile device management and endpoint protection solutions.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as IP addressing and VPNs.
