Position Summary:

 

The Associate Brand Manager will be an integral member of the Commercial Marketing organization in developing a robust strategy in support of building strong brands. The Brand Manager will assist in the planning, development, and implementation of all strategic and tactical consumer-marketing activities to enhance the growth and profitability of their brand. Primary responsibilities will include supporting establishing and achieving business goals, designing mixed media campaigns with a strong focus on digital and social media marketing, trade spend management, forecasting, pricing and planograms, analysis and reporting, and building and maintaining customer relationships.      

 

Accountabilities:

 

  • Develops and manages brand budget and ensures budget is up to date and an accurate reflection of the P&L.
  • Manage SKU level forecasting, volume bridges and Ship Share model to drive forecast accuracy;
  • Executes programs from start to finish including writing creative briefs, work plans, agency management and legal approval;
  • Develop brand communications including digital video content, paid social, social influencer content, trial programs and in-store programming;
  • Undertakes more complex business and consumer analyses used in Annual Business Plans or 5 year LOB innovation road maps;
  • Able to conduct competitive analysis that identifies competitor strategies, strengths and weaknesses;
  • Executes product or cost savings projects related to 3 – Year Strategic Plan or LOB innovation road maps
  • Measure and evaluate marketing activities to determine ROI and effectiveness of activity; identify key issues impacting brand volume performance and recommend potential solutions;
  • Assist in the development of detailed marketing plans to achieve stated objectives with a focus on digital platforms;
  • Identify and apply key consumer insights to support business opportunities and anticipate competitive response to brand actions and effectively analyze Nielsen data to identify business issues and trends;
  • Partner closely with Sales to identify opportunities to expand the business in existing channels of trade;
  • Provide accurate and timely performance updates including in-depth analysis of variances along with recommendations;
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technology opportunities in all areas related to digital marketing and social media;
  • Develops and executes against timelines for tactical projects on time and within budget, raising potential issues accordingly;
  • Support the creation of a full digital strategy to enhance brands in the digital space;
  • Assist with digital cross-functional and agency teams to ensure that we are engaging with our target consumers across their digital eco-systems;

 

Required Education, Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business or Marketing related discipline;
  • 3+ years CPG experience having directly supported a brand in a global or commercial organization with strong analytical responsibilities;
  • 1+ years of experience planning and executing digital marketing campaigns;

 

Desirable Education, Skills and Experience

 

  • MBA preferred;
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing;
  • Demonstrated experience driving results through paid and organic social media campaigns;
  • SEO experience (i.e., title tags, meta descriptions, key word density);
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented; ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and work effectively with team members and various key stakeholders;
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for improvements and proactively offer ideas for how to improve;
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects autonomously in a challenging, fast-paced environment while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlines;
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly matrixed environment;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization;
  • Proficiency using 3rd party technical and Social tools and platforms (Hootsuite, Buffer, Nuvi, TweetDeck Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Radian 6, Mail Chimp, Javascript, Word Press, CSS, etc).,
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
