Position Summary:

 

 

The Associate Brand Manager will be an integral member of the North America Brand Marketing team to help drive the strategy and brand communication in support of building strong brands. This role will assist in the planning, development, and implementation of all strategic and tactical consumer-marketing activities to enhance the growth and profitability of the brand.  Primary responsibilities will include supporting the Brand Manager to develop, recommend and lead the execution of marketing plans and manage the effective deployment of the marketing budget.  Responsibilities will also include designing mixed media campaigns with a strong focus on digital and social media marketing, trade spend management, forecasting, analysis and reporting. 

 

Accountabilities:
 

  • Assist in the development of detailed marketing plans to achieve stated objectives with a focus on digital platforms, supporting the creation of a full digital strategy to enhance brands in the digital space;
  • Develop brand communications including digital & social content, social influencer content, trial programs and in-store programming;
  • Support the creation of TV, print and digital advertising;
  • Work closely with E-Commerce Marketing team to ensure high revenue and margin performance and efficient ad spends for PPC, SEO, Affiliate, and other customer acquisition efforts
  • Assist in developing and executing promotional initiatives to profitably increase consumption within budget parameters;
  • Support the annual strategic and business planning processes by assessing the market, evaluating past program performance, building marketing plans and identifying key goals and objectives; measure and evaluate marketing activities to determine ROI and effectiveness of activity; identify key issues impacting brand volume performance and recommend potential solutions;
  • Develop and manage A&P budget; provide regular updates of spending versus budget and ensure P&L is accurate and reflects any significant variances from plan;  
  • Closely monitor and analyze sales volumes, market share trends and competitive activity; refine data into learnings and actions.  Create volume bridges and ship/share model to drive forecast accuracy; support SKU level forecasting in partnership with Demand Planning team,
  • Initiate market research projects to deliver powerful consumer and customer insights as the basis for long-term brand growth; develop these insights into achievable plans; identify and apply key consumer insights to support business opportunities and anticipate competitive response to brand actions and effectively analyze data to identify business issues and trends;
  • Partner closely with Sales to identify opportunities to expand the business in existing channels of trade;
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technology opportunities in all areas related to digital marketing and social media;

 

 

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business or Marketing related discipline;
  • 3+ years CPG experience having directly supported a brand in a global or commercial organization with strong analytical responsibilities;
  • 1+ years of experience planning and executing digital and social marketing campaigns;

 

Desirable Education, Skills and Experience

 

  • MBA preferred;
  • Strong commercial awareness and familiarity with latest marketing trends and best practices;
  • Demonstrated working experience in digital marketing; driving results through paid and organic social media campaigns;
  • Ability to conduct competitive analysis that identifies competitor strategies, strengths and weaknesses;
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented; ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and work effectively with team members and various key stakeholders;
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for improvements and proactively offer ideas for how to improve;
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects autonomously in a challenging, fast-paced environment while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlines;
  • Ability to influence without direct authority;
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly matrixed environment;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization;
