We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Associate Brand Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our iconic Playtex Sport & OB brands through comprehensive market research, data analysis, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) and a passion for the Feminine Hygiene or Personal Care categories. Accountabilities:
|
- Market Research: Responsible for understanding and utilizing both qualitative and quantitative market research processes and data outputs. This includes knowing when to leverage the market research team for insights, interpreting research findings, and effectively communicating these insights and recommendations to stakeholders through reporting and presentations.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze trends, patterns, and insights to inform strategic decision-making and optimize campaign reach. Synthesize data from multiple sources to identify issues, opportunities, and insights, making recommendations for optimizing plans. Measure and evaluate marketing activities to determine ROI and effectiveness, identifying key issues impacting brand volume performance and recommending potential solutions. Support annual strategic and business planning processes by assessing the market, evaluating past program performance, building marketing plans, and identifying key goals and objectives.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate with key stakeholders within a highly matrixed organization to quickly develop effective market positioning plans.
- Performance Measurement: Responsible for identifying, tracking, and reporting KPIs in a compelling and impactful way. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to determine relevant KPIs, monitoring performance metrics, generating actionable insights, and effectively communicating findings through engaging reports and visualizations. Continuously refine measurement processes to enhance accuracy and relevance.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor the competitive landscape by gathering data & insights on competitors and analyzing their prices, sales, and marketing methods. Provide recommendations on how to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Campaign Management: Support the development and execution of comprehensive annual marketing plans to steward iconic brands and achieve business objectives. Collaborate with multiple agencies and the in-house creative team, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Understand and integrate full-funnel tactics and touchpoints to support agency briefings, ensuring these are effectively incorporated into proposed marketing strategies. Plan, manage, and support the promotional calendar, partnering with internal and external partners to execute offers and measure in-market execution.
- Brand Advocacy: Champion the target consumer, brand positioning, and brand voice throughout the organization.
- Budget Management: Manage the A&P budget, providing monthly updates on spending versus budget and ensuring the P&L is accurate and reflects any significant deviations from the plan. This includes closely monitoring expenditures, identifying areas where spending is over or under budget, and analyzing the financial impact of these variances. Based on this analysis, provide strategic recommendations on potential budget shifts that could optimize resource allocation and better align with business objectives.

Required Education, Skills and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 2+ years CPG experience having directly supported a brand in a global or commercial organization with strong analytical responsibilities
- Analytical Skills: Proven expertise in data analysis and trend identification, encompassing data mining, generating insights, and effectively communicating findings and recommendations both verbally and visually. Utilizes the 'So What/Now What' framework for impactful delivery of findings & recommendations.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with syndicated data/HH Panel (Nielsen, Circana, etc.) and other data sources (Mintel, Euromonitor, Numerator, etc.)
- Communication Skills: Ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and concisely across various levels of the organization.
- Marketing Knowledge: Understanding marketing principles, best practices and consumer behavior.
- Expertise in the CPG Industry: Possesses a strong understanding of 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) tactics, price pack architecture, and channel strategies. Demonstrates solid business acumen, capable of analyzing and applying these strategies to optimize product offerings, pricing models, distribution channels, and promotional activities to drive business growth and meet market demands.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
- Budget Management: Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals around managing the business P&L. Experience managing marketing budgets, including maintaining a finance tracker, opening purchase orders, submitting invoices, retaining records, and partnering with BU finance to understand and resolve any discrepancies in spend.

The salary range for this position is $96,000 - $124,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
