We are looking for an experienced recruitment professional to join Edgewell Personal Care – a leading global FMCG Organisation (Our brands: Schick, Banana Boat, Bulldog, Hawaiian Tropic...just to name a few!).

You want to own your career and you’re ready to write the next chapter of your story: a challenging and rewarding role as the Recruiter for Edgewell China business.  Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Business Partner (APAC & MEA), the purpose of this role is to provide end to end, ‘hands on’ hiring and on-boarding support across multiple functions for China permanent and fixed term salaried roles for Edgewell China positions. This role will work closely with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to develop in-depth understanding of their markets and hiring needs in order to deliver a quality focused service.

Here are the key areas that you will be responsible for: 

  • Support HR Business Partners and hiring managers in identifying recruitment requirements and acting as their main point of contact for all China recruitment, selection and on-boarding processes.
  • Using the appropriate HR systems, manages end to end hiring and on-boarding (induction) process for all approved job vacancies across China.
  • Advise hiring managers on the most suitable direct sourcing channels (e.g. candidate databases, social media, job boards) to attract and select candidates.
  • Create internal and external standardised job adverts, candidate correspondence and specifications for external recruitment agencies, ensuring all documentation is legally and brand compliant.
  • Respond to all queries from Hiring Managers and Candidates, and ensure they are regularly informed about the status of the job vacancy without compromising Edgewell’s standards of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, raising Edgewell profile in the external job market and ensuring our culture and values are consistently communicated to all candidates.
  • Build and maintain effective networks and relationships with talent communities (Internal and external candidates), whilst ensuring candidate databases are refreshed regularly for purposes of talent pipelining.
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers (recruitment agencies) that have been approved and briefed to work on a job vacancy.
  • Carry out candidate CV / application screening, scheduling of interviews and if required provide administration of online psychometric testing or assessment of candidates, overall ensuring fair and objective hiring decisions are made.
  • Provide developmental feedback to successful and unsuccessful candidates based on the job’s pre-established selection criteria and hiring process.
  • Manage the job offer and compliance process, including remuneration negotiations, and referencing in accordance with the HR Business Partner and hiring manager.
  • Advise, coach and train hiring managers on hiring and on boarding tools, processes, policies to be used to ensure consistency and best practice.
  • Provide overall support to the Talent Acquisition Business Partner (APAC & MEA) and International Talent Acquisition Team.

Ideally you will have minimum 3 years of recruiting experience with multi-national corporations or recruitment agencies.  In this role, it is important that you can work autonomously, flexibly and collaboratively with individuals and teams.  Professional experience is important, but it’s paramount you share our values and belief in “challenge to win”.


In addition, it would be great if you have the following:


  • University degree or equivalent in commercial related subject
  • Minimum 3 year of experience of direct sourcing in an in-house or recruitment agency/onsite environment
  • Proven experience of delivering successful, best practice, end to end recruitment campaigns within specific deadlines and KPI’s
  • Experience of hiring commercial sales and marketing roles in China; FMCG experience is highly preferred
  • Strong candidate management experience, including talent pipelining and arranging on-boarding
  • Experience of using HR information systems, particularly related to hiring (applicant tracking systems and on boarding)
  • Proficient in using Microsoft packages MS Word, MS Office, MS Excel and MS power point and Skype
  • Savvy in using social and professional networking tools such as LinkedIn
  • Knowledge of China employment law
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
