Santiago, Chile based (hybrid). Full-time. One year contract.

 

Position Summary

The Key Account Executive is responsible for the annual planning, execution, and monitoring of commercial strategies for assigned clients. This includes implementing sales proposals with clients, managing promotions, displays, and merchandisers. Additionally, the role ensures the achievement of profitable net sales growth objectives for each client. The Key Account Executive provides critical information and contributes to the development of improvement plans to enhance market share and brand visibility.

 

Accountabilities

  1. Develop and manage strategies for assigned accounts.
  2. Conduct annual planning and oversee implementation.
  3. Execute strategies and plans at the point of sale.
  4. Manage and develop client relationships.
  5. Oversee the budget allocation for deflator management.
  6. Provide direction for the management of merchandisers.
  7. Strategy for Assigned Accounts
    • Develop and manage strategic plans for assigned clients.
    • Generate and oversee improvement plans tailored to each client.
    • Identify market opportunities and provide actionable insights.
    • Analyze market trends using reports from Business Intelligence.
    • Conduct store analysis based on assigned clients and regions.
    • Provide competitive analysis and market insights.
  8. Definition and Management of Account Strategies
    • Maintain strategic, long-term commercial relationships with clients.
    • Lead negotiations to secure commercial agreements, maximizing value in line with company policies.
    • Identify business opportunities to support brand development.
    • Implement price changes accurately and on time.
    • Ensure the execution of annual plans for each client using internal company tools.
    • Implement or propose loyalty programs where applicable, ensuring the viability of promotional activities.
  9. Execution of Strategies and Plans at the Point of Sale
    • Assess pricing behavior in assigned accounts.
    • Modify and implement price changes in a timely manner.
    • Define promotional objectives, execute plans, and adjust as needed.
  10. Sales Strategy Development and Execution
    • Develop and manage strategic alliances with key accounts.
    • Prepare and manage sales budgets.
    • Understand client requirements to develop new commercial proposals.
    • Execute commercial proposals effectively.
  11. Merchandiser Management
    • Define store assignments and merchandiser routes.
  12. Deflator Management
    • Define and allocate the deflator budget per account.
    • Negotiate deflator allocations with clients.
    • Monitor and control the assigned deflator budget per client.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Professional with a degree in business administration, commercial engineering, or related fields, with 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial or marketing roles.
  • Strong results orientation, ability to work independently in high-performance environments, and strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of supervision, retail logistics, layout, sales, and market research.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of regional market geography for effective field execution.
