Position Summary

The Region Manager will serve a critical role in building Edgewell business in Czech, Slovakia & Hungary. This key position requires working at both a strategic and a hands-on level, with a strong focus on customer management with consumer & customer at the center. The Regional Manager will work closely with Marketing, Commercial Strategy & SRGM, Finance, Supply Chain and other key stakeholders to deliver the growth ambitions in Czech, Slovakia & Hungarian markets. This position will report directly to the Head of Sales for Direct Markets

Universal Accountabilities

  • Develop and drive regional market growth strategies for assigned markets in close collaboration with key stakeholders, to drive incremental and sustainable growth across the EPC portfolio.
  • Develop and execute distribution & price strategies for all markets in strong collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Act as regional business owner, accountable for volume, value, profitability, and market share across the assigned markets.
  • Identify regional growth opportunities, risks, and structural barriers, proactively recommending strategic actions to Sales Head.
  • Develop regional distribution and pricing strategies within defined group frameworks, ensuring competitiveness and value creation across markets.
  • Own regional promotional effectiveness, adapting central guidelines to local realities and customer needs.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with CE Commercial Strategy, SRGM, Shopper Marketing and Category Development in the regional roll-out of commercial initiatives.
  • Drive consistent commercial standards and best practices across markets, while allowing for local flexibility where needed.
  •  Partner with CE Brand, Shopper Marketing and Category Development teams to shape regional brand activation and trade marketing plans.
  • Ensure successful regional launches of NPD, including sell-in readiness, activation quality and post-launch performance tracking.
  • Provide structured market feedback and insights to influence future brand, category and innovation strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional customers and distributors, acting as the primary escalation point.
  • Lead regional customer strategy, including key negotiations within approved commercial guardrails.
  • Lead, coach and develop local market leaders / sales managers across assigned markets.
  • Build a high-performance, customer-centric culture with strong accountability and execution discipline.
  • Support succession planning, talent development and capability building across the region.
  • Act as a role model for leadership behaviors and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Own regional business planning, including input into Strategic Growth Opportunity Plans, ABP and QF.
  • Prepare and deliver regional performance reviews, forecasts and insights to Sales Head, highlighting gaps, risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure disciplined tracking of KPIs and commercial performance across markets.
  • Drive corrective actions where performance is behind plan.

Skills & Experience

  • Strategic, action-oriented person with experience working across departments, with demonstrated success in planning and accomplishing goals
  • Strong Market & Commercial understanding – Business Acumen.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, ability to influence decisions without necessarily having direct authority to make final decisions.
  • Highly organized, flexible, self-motivated, and able to succeed in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and work effectively with team members and various key stakeholders, also under pressure.
  • Proficient in analyzing data, reporting and making recommendations based on data and trends
  • Computer skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Diploma or degree in a Marketing or Business-related subject
  • 8  years of experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods, managing sales teams with experience in people management, distributor management & marketing experience would be a strong asset
  • Fluent English and business level of Czech is required. Any other  Eastern European language would be a strong asset

 

Key Stakeholders 

  • Reports to Head of Sales for Direct Markets
  • Key relationships locally will include Commercial: Sales, Category & Marketing, Commercial Strategy and Finance
  • Directly manages 3 KAMs and 1 Sales Assistant.
