The Key Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Edgewell’s product portfolio across modern trade channels in the Czech and Slovak markets. This key position will lead partnerships with the largest and most strategic retail customers, ensuring best‑in‑class execution of distribution strategies and delivering sustainable, profitable growth.
The role focuses on managing and developing top customer relationships, leading negotiations, and securing strong commercial delivery. It requires close collaboration with internal teams including Marketing, Commercial Strategy & SRGM, Finance, Supply Chain and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and alignment across the organization.
This position reports directly to the Regional Manager.
Universal Accountabilities
- Develop, align and execute end‑to‑end commercial, distribution, pricing and trade promotion strategies for the largest strategic customers, ensuring delivery of Net Sales and Gross Margin targets.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on the execution of activities across assigned key accounts.
- Actively collaborate with internal stakeholders — including the Private Label commercial team — to maximize customer contribution and unlock full business potential.
- Proactively identify, shape and drive new business opportunities within your customer portfolio.
- Lead the full administration and operational management of key accounts, ensuring seamless cooperation with retailers.
- Implement both long‑term and short‑term marketing strategies tailored to each customer’s needs.
- Communicate and execute new product launches and relaunches with excellence and precision.
- Own the forecasting process and ensure optimal product availability at all times.
- Negotiate commercial terms and annual agreements with full accountability.
- Analyze customer data, category trends, sales performance and margin development to drive informed decision‑making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer decision‑makers to deliver business objectives and long‑term partnerships.
- Apply category management principles to accelerate customer Net Sales and Gross Margin growth.
- Monitor stock levels, account receivables and competitor activities to ensure business continuity and competitive advantage.
- Ensure flawless execution of merchandising and visibility standards for EPC products.
Skills & Experience
- University degree — preferably in Economics, Business or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of successful experience as a Key Account Manager in an FMCG environment, managing significant customers or strategic portfolios; experience within the beauty or personal care category will be considered a strong advantage.
- Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- A credible, respected team player who integrates well within cross‑functional teams.
- A proactive collaborator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Fluent English and Czech (spoken and written).
- Highly developed negotiation skills and the ability to influence effectively.
- Action‑oriented mindset with strong communication capabilities.
- Strong analytical thinking and data‑driven decision‑making.
- A challenger mindset — creativity, openness to change and the ability to think beyond standard solutions.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic and sometimes high‑pressure environment.
Key Stakeholders
- Reports directly to the Regional Manager.
- Key internal relationships include: Sales, Category & Marketing, Commercial Strategy, Finance, Customer Service, Demand Planning, as well as external partners and customers.
