We are looking for an attorney with  experience to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Schick, Hawaiian Tropic, Carefree, Bulldog Skincare, Jack Black and recently acquired Cremo Grooming… just to name a few!).

 

Now, Let’s Get Down to Business
Reporting to our Assistant General Counsel the Privacy and Procurement Counsel will have overall responsibility as lead attorney managing privacy at Edgewell, as well as handling procurement contracts outside of North America. The role will oversee and manage the drafting, editing and negotiating of contracts and drive improvement and efficiency in the contract lifecycle management systems and processes. The role will also have responsibility for Edgewell’s compliance with global laws, rules and regulations related to privacy and data security, serving as Global Chief Privacy Officer and EU Data Protection Officer.

 

This is a critical role that will require building trust in Edgewell by overseeing the company’s global privacy strategy and policies. Leading and developing best-in-class programs, trainings, and processes to address privacy issues relating to legacy and new technologies and services and ensuring operational compliance with global privacy and data security laws and regulations.


Are You Ready to Show Us What You’ve Got? 
•    Lead attorney for drafting, reviewing and negotiation of Global Distribution, Retail and Sales Agreements outside of North America. 
•    Lead attorney for global indirect procurement (outside of North America) supporting the IT, HR, and Facilities functions.
•    Create and revise standard contract templates for Distribution, Sales and Procurement, as needed. Evaluate current templates and improve, as appropriate. 
•    Provide general legal counseling to the business in relation to contract interpretation and terms, and related issues. 
•    Act as Edgewell’s Chief Privacy Officer and EU Data Protection Officer, responsible for data privacy and security compliance.
•    Oversee compliance with existing and emerging data privacy regulations throughout the world where Edgewell operates, including Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Oceania, and other emerging markets.
•    Draft, negotiate and formalize privacy agreements for a variety of legal agreements supporting Edgewell’s businesses.
•    Oversee and be responsible for data subject request processes.
•    Oversee and provide guidance on responding to privacy requests from consumers and regulatory authorities.
