Primary purpose of this position:  Planning functionality all related shipping and receiving operations.  Maintain accurate inventory.   Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while producing a quality product. Understanding and use of Inventory Systems and Programs related to product inbound and outbound.  Driving towards long range logistics planning and short term tactical scheduling.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Forecasting out-bound load levels to appropriate ship points.
  • Coordinate trailer stocking levels with appropriate carriers
  • Scheduling Outbound Shipments
  • Creating Shipping Documents (BOLs, Commercial Documents)
  • Insure out-bound product load accuracy.
  • Scheduling Inbound (monitoring phone)/Rescheduling appointments and following up with carriers
  • Building/maintaining inbound schedule
  • Ability to research SAP History/Perform SAP Inventory functions driving to process improvement
  • Investigate out-bound ship discrepancies, driving to root cause and process improvement
  • Ordering supplies/Creating POs (pallets, rentals, lifts, non-inventory supplies
  • Execute destruct authorization process
  • Shipping against Inventory Materials/Transfers (Span/R&D)
  • Administrative documentation for receipts and outbound (maintain archive files, daily receipts)
  • Processing FedEx/Parcel shipments (outbound)
  • Thoroughly understand and comply with trailer loading and unloading guidelines.
  • Follow all EPC Safety/Environmental, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean 5S policies and regulation guidelines. 
  • Assist and train Material Handlers and/or perform related material handler functions

Experience/ Education required:

  • Minimum four years of previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility
  • Previous experience computer systems and programs (Microsoft Word and Excel required).  Must to able to use Microsoft applications to process data to drive logistic decisions.
  • Associate degree preferred.

  • Ability to download SAP data, processing utilizing Microsoft Excel for investigation and process control
