Senior Project Coordinator (Remote)

Position Summary

Liaison with internal planning & external manufacturing facilities for daily production requirements and support new product scale-up and transfer of technology from the pilot plant to production and ensure successful and efficient manufacturing.  This position will also be responsible for identifying and implementing cost saving opportunities at outside filling sites. 


Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with 3rd party manufacturers to execute new product launches, manufacturing pilots, scale ups, validation efforts, component qualifications and product moves from one site to another. 
  • Coordinate with Pkg Engineering, Product Development, Technology Transfer and Quality to ensure sites have all necessary production documentation and standards required for production startup.
  • Manage transfer of analytical methods int 3rd party manufacturing sites
  • Ensure validations and product moves meet with Planning’s schedules.
  • Identify, analyze, and implement cost reduction programs. 
  • Support and implement cost savings projects
  • Work with sites to understand production capabilities, capacity constraints and troubleshoot plant production issues when they arise.  Coordinate necessary teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure timely conflict/issue resolution, problem solving
  • Establish and chair periodic project meetings and distribute notes to project team members and internal/external stake holders.  Ensure action items are completed in a timely manner.
  • Fill in for Site Coordinator when on vacation.
  • Prepare capital expenditure proposals/requests
  • Participate in new site qualifications. Understand manufacturing site production capabilities and capacity constraints for new formulas and/or packaging and communicate to the teams. 
  • Participate in product manufacturing insourcing or outsourcing activities.
  • Monitor departmental work processes to ensure safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Quality, operations, Planning, Warehouse, and other areas to create a partnership to remove barriers and accomplish goals.
  • Ensure correct implementation and documentation of department SOP files and procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects within department.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as requested.



Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in related field (technical/business). Minimum of high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with cGMP, OSHA and EPA requirements
  • Experience with IQ, OQ and validation
  • Familiarity with a wide range of plant equipment
  • Project management experience
  • Purchasing background or experience


Preferred Skills

  • 3 years industry experience consumer products industry (liquid fill mfg. preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interface with internal (Marketing, Purchasing, Planning, R&D, QA and Logistics) and external contacts at all levels.  Ability to clearly communicate technical and non-technical information
  • Good computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think and act independently and make sound decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritizing and follow up skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

  • Edgewell teammates, external vendors, and regulatory agencies


Work Environment

  • Some travel required for projects, training, etc.
  • Work on night shifts and weekends may be required.
  • Exposure to health risks or conditions that may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
