Position Summary

Facilitate and champion the preventive and predictive maintenance principles by accurately and timely providing required PM documentation to the production facility. Responsible for generating, editing, closing, and filing required maintenance records.  Identify trends and report these to the appropriate personnel.  Notate needed maintenance materials/parts, create a request, and follow up on receipt.  Provide updates to management on pending and/or delinquent maintenance records. Generate reports for quality, audits, and as requested. Maintain all levels of the SAP Plant Maintenance Module.    

 

Essential Functions

  • Manage and oversee pre-emptive and reactive repair program for production, and testing equipment.
  • Manage and ensure execution of a maintenance program for production, facility, and testing equipment.
  • Collaborate with all areas to obtain proper level of feedback for completed jobs.
  • Revise existing PMs, generate accurate work orders with detailed scope, as needed.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Manager/Production Supervisors to maximize use of EPC Ormond Beach Maintenance personnel while minimizing downtime to Production.
  • Responsible for SAP database of existing and obsolete production, facility, and testing equipment.
  • Maintain all levels of the SAP Plant Maintenance Module.  Utilize SAP for the creation of task lists, work orders and maintenance plans. 
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance.
  • Generate/Coordinate requisitions for items that are not MRO items.
  • Analyze, identify, and report solutions for reducing production downtime.
  • Ensure PM schedules and timelines are updated, published, and communicated prior to the PM.
  • Provide status reports on PMs and equipment failure root cause analysis.
  • Publish/distribute PMs to Production, Quality, Facilities, R&D, and other areas, as needed.
  • Follow and enforce all procedures as stated in cGMP, safety standards, plant rules, and Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Continuously improves, changes the PM/Work Orders, planning, and scheduling process by utilizing feedback from Maintenance Team, Production Supervisors and Engineers.
  • Escalates issues for work that requires special tools, personnel, or special approvals.
  • Oversee the Maintenance Shop and tools; Implement 5S with the Maintenance Team.
  • Be a proactive and challenge members of the Maintenance Team to bring new ideas and help the whole team to improve processes and equipment reliability/efficiency.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Maintenance/Manufacturing environment experience (5+ yrs.)
  • Uses technical skills to effectively solve problems and complete difficult assignments.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English, and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, e-mail, and internet applications.
  • Ability to interface with all colleagues and management at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and to train others in troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be a self-starter, possess good people skills, strong personal leadership, organizational skills, oral and written.
  • Communication skills.
