Position Summary
Perform all required operations to maintain, repair and monitor facility HVAC systems.
Essential Functions
- Maintain, repair and troubleshoot facility HVAC equipment so that it continues to operate efficiently.
- Order required materials for HVAC system maintenance.
- Perform inspections with proper documentation on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches to precision measuring instruments.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them using repair manuals, parts catalogs and other maintenance literature as necessary.
- Execute emergency procedures on facility equipment as needed and be “on call” for off duty emergency repairs.
- Recommend and help order equipment and supplies for facility maintenance items.
- This position must be willing to work different shift assignment, for extended periods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all EPC safety/Environmental, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean 5S policies and regulation guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of (5) years’ experience in an industrial/ facility maintenance environment.
- Must be able to safely operate a scissor lift, fork lift, etc.
- Use a personal computer to communicate by e-mail, use EPC software programs such as MSOffice, SharePoint, Agile, etc. as needed.
- Must be able to routinely lift 50lbs and be able to work from elevated heights.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and be detailed oriented.
- Ability to document and communicate effectively.
- Basic math and computer skills required.
