Automation Programmer Electrical Engineer

Position Summary
The Automation Programmer is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the SCADA system. The programmer will help with improving the SCADA system to ensure business performance is reached at its highest level at both the Ormond Beach, Florida and the Sidney, Ohio sites.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with internal “customers” to discuss and document their business reporting and visualization requirements.
- Design and create custom business applications to collect, analyze and report data critical to plant operations.
- Develop reporting solutions by interfacing to existing data repositories, extracting data, manipulating data, and displaying it for the computer users in a dashboard format.
- Analyze application performance and debug and/or repair, as necessary.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and presentation). Able to work in a Team Environment.

Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an Electrical or Computing engineering field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience, preferably in a high speed, cGMP environment.
- Experience working on computer hardware systems and operating system software
- Experience in a Manufacturing Operation is highly desired. Knowledge of basic manufacturing principles is required.
- Demonstrated skills in gathering information, design, configuration, integration, and implementation of process control systems including HMI packages, SCADA systems, PLC controllers, and PC networking technology.
- Must have experience in:
- Programing PLC’s, HMIs, and Scada systems
- Allen Bradley experience is a plus.
- Programing PLC’s, HMIs, and Scada systems
- Must have experience programming Ignition Software .
- Proficient in C+, .net, Python, HTML, CSS, SQL, and Java programming languages.
- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server is a plus, including in writing SQL queries and stored procedures in Oracle or SQL Server.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with liquid compounding and batching, liquid fill production
- FDA regulated facility working knowledge and experience in cGMP is desired.

Work Environment
- Some travel may be required
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including ambient temperature areas.
- Work schedule is projected to be typical business hours, but work may be required on night shifts and weekends to support business needs.
- Exposure to health risks or conditions that may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - 90,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
