The Head of Social & PR will lead the development and execution of Edgewell’s earned and owned media strategy across PR, brand partnerships, organic social, influencer/creator marketing, and community engagement.

 

This role is responsible for translating brand and business priorities into integrated, culturally relevant programs that drive visibility, engagement, and commercial impact across the hair removal portfolio. Acting as a strategic connector, this individual ensures that campaigns, launches, and always-on activity are seamlessly executed across channels and aligned to a unified brand narrative.

 

Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand Communications & Digital Engagement, this role plays a critical part in scaling best practices, improving operational efficiency, contributing to Edgewell’s marketing transformation and strengthening the role of earned and owned media in Edgewell’s broader marketing ecosystem.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Earned & Owned Strategy Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated earned and owned strategies across PR, influencer, social, and partnerships
  • Translate strategic direction into clear, actionable plans and frameworks
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality brand expression across all touchpoints
  • Drive alignment across campaigns, launches, and always-on programming
  • Maintain a strong pulse on culture, media, and the competitive landscape, anticipating what’s next and positioning brands to show up meaningfully ahead of the curve.
  • Manage team of two.

 

PR Strategy & Execution

  • Define and lead PR strategies across brands, campaigns, and key moments
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day PR lead, managing agency partners to deliver best-in-class execution
  • Drive proactive, culturally relevant storytelling and media engagement
  • Ensure PR efforts are fully integrated with influencer, social, and paid media strategies

 

Influencer / Creator Strategy

  • Lead the development of influencer and creator strategies aligned to business priorities
  • Establish frameworks for talent selection, partnership models, content expectations, and measurement
  • Define role of influencers and creators within broader go-to-market plans
  • Oversee execution through internal teams and/or agencies, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Partner with Media team on amplification, usage rights and performance optimization

 

Organic Social & Community

  • Define organic social strategy, including channel roles, content pillars, always-on programming and engagement approach
  • Establish frameworks for scalable storytelling and a consistent brand voice across platforms
  • Define approach to community building, audience engagement and two-way interact
  • Identify opportunities to turn audiences into advocates through content and conversation
  • Guide execution teams on content planning, publishing, and community management

Brand Partnerships

  • Define strategic approach to brand partnerships, including partner identification and collaboration models
  • Identify culturally relevant opportunities that enhance brand equity and reach
  • Establish frameworks for evaluating and activating partnerships across PR, influencer and social
  • Ensure partnerships align with brand positioning, audience and commercial priorities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate partnerships into broader campaigns

 

Performance & Optimization

  • Define success metrics across PR, influencer and social/community efforts
  • Oversee performance tracking and ensure insights inform ongoing optimizations and future campaigns
  • Deliver clear reporting, learnings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in roles spanning PR, social, influencer and/or earned/owned media
  • Proven track record of developing and executing integrated strategies across channels
  • Strong experience managing agency partners and leading program execution
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into actionable, results-driven plans
  • Deep understanding of how earned, owned, and paid media work together
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong knowledge of the media, social, and influencer landscape

 

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in CPG, beauty, personal care, or adjacent consumer categories
  • Strong familiarity with social and influencer management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Aspire, etc.)
  • Experience working within an integrated agency model
  • Strong writing skills across strategic and editorial formats
  • Understanding of paid amplification and whitelisting strategies for influencer and social content
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive optimization
  • Comfortable leveraging emerging tools and technologies (including AI) to improve efficiency and speed-to-market

 

 

The salary range for this position is $136,000–$204,000. 

 

Compensation for this position varies based on a range of equal opportunity factors, including but not limited to role scope, level of experience, relevant skills, education and credentials, external and internal benchmarks for equivalent roles and experience, business sector, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the specific facts and circumstances of each case. In addition to base salary, the total rewards package may also include, for eligible roles, bonus, and long-term Incentive.
