Brand Designer (Billie - Contract)

Billie is on the lookout for a Brand Designer to help bring our brand to life in bold, beautiful ways. In this role, you’ll dive into everything from design strategy to execution, shaping digital, social content, visual, physical, and experimental projects that make a big impact.

What you'll do:
- Conceptualize, develop and produce exceptional designs using our design system through a variety of mediums (digital, print, retail, product and environmental applications) under the leadership of the Design Director.
- Collaborate with the social team on ideation and creation of assets across all social platforms. This includes recommending content creators, sourcing photography, designing static imagery, shooting UGC-style motion content and photography, behind-the-scenes capture, video editing, etc
- Work with Social Media Manager on creative briefs for outside content creators. Provide feedback to edit and optimize content ensuring that our campaign goals and brand standards are being met.
- Tactically design product marketing content including website page designs, retail displays, collateral, etc.
- Collaborate with the growth team to design email and advertising content as needed.
- Concept and execute art direction for product, brand and promotional campaigns as needed. This includes establishing visual look & feel that can be applied across channels for product launches, assisting in shoots, briefing outside vendors to use look & feel, etc
- Assist with motion editing across all projects as needed.
- Consistently meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects at once.
- Uphold, elevate, and push the visual identity of the Billie brand, under the direction of the Design Director, VP of Creative and Creative Director of Design.
- Willingness to help out with other art direction or design needs as they arise.
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of professional design experience
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite -- Photoshop, Illustrator, etc
- Experience working in Figma
- Experience working in motion/AfterEffects is a plus
- Proficient in designing and executing various mediums/channels–primarily digital and social media
- Knowledge in color theory, typography, design systems
- A strong bias towards details but ability to think big picture
- A passion for the arts and culture and forward-thinking mindset
- An autonomous self-starter who is comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight timelines
- A proactive and collaborative approach; you love working with people and people love working with you
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week contract position. The compensation range is $580-$630/day. The actual daily rate offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant skill set and prior experience.
