Position Summary                        

The Target Team Leader is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the annual Target Fem Care and Ulta Beauty Shave/Grooming business plan.  The Team Leader is a customer-facing role whose main objectives are to: Lead Edgewell strategy to develop Edgewell’s business portfolio with Target and Ulta Beauty, to include delivering budgeted gross and net sales revenue, innovation sales, category share, profitability, and supply chain goals. This individual also works with the following Managers/Business Units:  Target Target/VCO Sales Channel Manager, Target/VCO Category Development Manager, Target/VCO Sales Analyst, Sales Finance Manager, Business Unit Sales Strategy Teams, Sales Operations, Retail Team (Internal and Broker), Merchandise & Display, Demand and broker partner at Ulta Beauty.  The Team Leader works with his/her direct team and other Edgewell functions to ensure plan goal alignment and attainment regarding profit, volume, and share.

  • Develop Annual Customer Business Plans: Develop and finalize the annual customer business plan that meet Edgewell’s brand strategies and objectives for Target and Ulta Beauty. Ensure that the plans incorporate programs that achieve the company’s business sales and share goals, spending and profit budgets, and program characteristics and implementation timing.
  • Partner Closely with Key Leadership:  Customer contacts from Target and Ulta Beauty, Sales Strategy for go-to-market planning, Distribution and Supply Chain for operational and fulfillment needs, R&D for product and display design needs, Marketing for brand strategy and innovation, Retail for instore execution.
  • Lead the Target Fem Care and Ulta Beauty Business Needs: Lead and manage the day-to-day sales contact by the channel/customer team members with customers and/or broker involving planning, selling, and managing program implementation. Ensure effective and actionable communication of Edgewell’s company and marketing strategies to customers and broker.
  • Achieve Goals: Identify, monitor, and address specific customer needs to achieve company goals with assigned account(s) for profit, volume, and share.
  • Provide Financial Forecasts: Ensure the timely and actionable forecasting on Target and Ulta Beauty volume and trade, collaborating and communicating with Finance and Demand Management of customer needs regarding profit, volume and share goals, as well as program implementation and timing.
  • Customer Contact: Enhance customer contact to achieve penetration at the senior management level and across functional areas that can drive enhanced Edgewell’s business performance.

  • Proficient in all functional areas to include demand planning, business analysis, finance, shopper insights, etc.
  • Curiosity and passion for creating breakthrough moments in store merchandising and store operation execution.
  • Model collaborative behavior and execution in delivering great programming for Edgewell’s brands at retail.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Eager to learn, seeking to improve oneself, the immediate team, and the greater community.
  • Extremely organized, dependable, and self-motivated with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilizes effective, professional communications to cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues, flexible in own approach to people and situations.
  • Maintain a strong focus of customer satisfaction and annual achievement of customer annual Joint Business Plan.
  • Extensive macro-U.S. trade channel experience to include shopper journeys, e-Comm, syndicated and shopper data.
  • Substantial track record of exceeding sales objectives and goals.
  • People and/or broker management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with consumer products companies.
  • Direct customer selling experience, preferably 5+ years.
  • BA/BS degree or higher.

  • Minneapolis Edgewell Office:  Opportunity for in market individuals to participate in-office collaboration days (currently Tuesday’s each week) and out of market individuals to travel to Minneapolis Edgewell office as needed.
