Position Summary

 

Edgewell is currently looking to hire an Inventory Controller on Day Shift.  This is a salaried position based in our new Milton, ON Distribution Centre.  The role is responsible for inventory accuracy in the ERP/WMS systems and for providing direction and coordination to resolve inventory inaccuracies.   Must be capable of working within a team environment, following regulatory guidelines, and supporting distribution operations to achieve monthly objectives.

Accountabilities

 

  • Responsible for inventory accuracy in the ERP/WMS systems.
  • Provide direction/coordination to resolve inventory inaccuracies.
  • Coordinate finished goods inventory counts per defined schedule.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to inventory reporting, adjustments, investigative and control policy procedures and regulatory-compliance requirements for finished goods.
  • Observe inventory control policies regarding obsolete inventory and raw materials warehoused.
  • Ensure all products are being stored and categorized based on labelled storage conditions.
  • Coordinate warehouse and QA/QC issues pertaining to on-hand or shipped inventory.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer claims.
  • Understand and assist with product Withdrawal/Recall process, if required.
  • Understand and provide software and hardware support for warehouse systems.
  • Monitor and report on product levels for damaged and quarantined stock.
  • Validate master data for all finished goods stored in the warehouse.
  • Work in conjunction with the warehouse supervisor to coordinate various projects pertaining to logistics.
  • Assist in developing solutions for the Supply Chain Team with regards to various processes or systems as they relate to inventory and logistics.
  • Process Customer Returns.
  • Prepare products for shipment to destruction facilities (HAZMAT).
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Experience

  • Must obtain the necessary certification required by Edgewell to perform job duties, and also be comfortable working in a computerized environment.
  • High School completed or equivalent experience with 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer and wireless technology.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and requirements, and acceptable quality standards.
  • Solid organization skills with high level of initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.
  • Reliable with a strong commitment to perform well within given timelines.
  • Works very well with others in a team environment and fosters the culture of the organization.
