POSITION SUMMARY:

 

In support of Schick Razor Blades manufacturing in Milford, CT:

  • A senior member of our Quality team that will partner with both internal and external customers, to ensure that we meet all regulatory requirements. 
  • May lead Quality team members.
  • May act as internal consultant providing technical guidance on projects.
  • Considered a Subject Matter Expert of Quality Engineering tools and statistical methodology.  
  • Will lead projects and investigations.
  • A fast-paced position that will participate in a wide array of quality events that will highlight ability to problem solve, develop technical reports and present information.
  • Will utilize appropriate investigative tools, good engineering design and GMP’s when investigating issues and recommending corrective actions.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Be accountable for meeting all assigned Quality Engineering deliverables.
  • Ensure the quality of products produced is consistent with EPC (Edgewell Personal Care) Quality standards 
  • Ensure the Quality Unit is functioning efficiently by assessing current processes and identifying ways to streamline or improve.  
  • Ensure the timely closure of Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) investigations, on-going investigations and other non-conformance investigations.
  • Support appropriate product development quality related projects: internal and external.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with cross functional groups located both externally and internally within the organization. 
  • Creates and presents reports for management, and other internal groups.  Reports include trip, audit, and current status.
  • Effectively investigate consumer complaints (customer/consumer) to meet applicable standard operating procedures.
  • Expert application of complex problem solving in a structured method.
  • Ability to use statistics and Quality Engineering tools (i.e. FMEA, DOE, SPC and MSA) to solve problems and recommend/lead CAPA.
  • Conducts quality audits on appropriate regulatory and procedural requirements. 
  • Ability to effectively interact with vendors, contract manufacturers, suppliers and cross functional teams relative to quality issues.
  • Ability to write, review, revise and approve Quality SOP’s.  
  • Ability to review and approve New Product specifications, Bill of Materials, Packaging Assembly Specs, Non Conformance Reports and Deviations
  • Ability to travel to other company locations and external vendor sites if needed.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BA or BS in a technical discipline, preferably  Engineering
  • Metallurgical experience preferred, but not required
  • Five to seven years minimum experience working in a manufacturing environment in a quality related field
  • Five to seven years minimum experience in an ISO:9000 Quality System or other regulated business
  • Certifications such as ASQ CQE, CRE, CQA, CSSBB, or ISO Lead Auditor preferred.
  • Validation; DOE; Statistical Analysis; Root Cause Analysis and structured problem solving; Project Management Experience
  • Data Collection, Data Analysis, Project Design, Communication, Coordination, Decision Making and Technical Solution Development
  • Demonstrated above-average performance as a QE with excellent leadership skills.  
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Access, Python programming (experience a plus, not required), Microsoft Office, Minitab
  • Well organized person and drive to work in a fast-paced environment
