Position Summary:

This role is a change leadership role to drive execution of supply chain initiatives that build a healthy supply chain infrastructure.  Primary responsibility is to focus resources on finding, developing and sustaining standard processes and practices that drive value in the supply chain and drive improved supply capability.




  • An in-depth understanding of supply planning and value chain including their tools and processes in the consumer good industry.
  • Cross functional experience in commercial and financial business and S&OP linkages.
  • Familiarity with external certification programs, training providers and other sources of knowledge in the supply chain arena. (APICS, IBF, Gartner, O. Wright)
  • Understanding of Production Planning function to include, new product development, product life cycle, product-phase-out processes, product segmentation, SKU rationalization, Annual Business Planning, inventory health, routing, scheduling and capacity.


Essential Functions

  • Standardization and Consistency:  Lead supply teams in driving cross business process standardization and consistency in meeting structure and content (i.e. S&OE), reporting design and content (i.e. dashboards), and standard work (i.e. planning).
  • Building Capability: Work with the Supply Management Team to evaluate and coordinate new training and planning tools with a focus on leveraging the current technology and the departments needs assessment within budgetary constraints.
  • Improving Infrastructure and Process Improvement: Facilitate the implementation of new tools, upgrades and projects (ex: JDA, SCOR Value Stream, Perfect Order, etc).  Oversee the supply team’s internal projects and programs, provide direction and assistance (Team Knowledge Sharing, Project updates, Lunch and Learns).  Work with Global teams on Supply Capabilities regarding systems, data, process and organization.
  • Impact Assessment and Improvement:  Track key supply metrics (OTIF, DII) for S&OP team to monitor the effectiveness of process decisions. Report metrics back to S&OP process owner, executives and the team to identify progress, root causes for correction or process improvement.  Track operational performance and drive action to optimize plant performance with capacity planning (i.e. scheduling, queuing, utilization) and inventory planning (i.e. raw materials, WIP, finished goods) solutions.


  • Process Facilitation and Coordination: Support S&OP leadership in driving Supply process improvements in S&OP cycle.  S&OP participation to include preparing materials, ensuring that necessary material is presented, supply teams are engaged, and decisions are executed.  Coordinate effective management of supply S&OP master data and documents, aggregating to an appropriately high level and determining what to present at the Executive S&OP meeting.


Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, or applicable discipline
  • Planning Systems (i.e. SAP and/or JDA)
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Planning systems, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • 10 years of supply planning management experience in a CPG company preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate cross functionally in a global environment.
